Exactly. Hopefully our front office learned from the mid-level contracts our organization used to give out to bench players.

OJ Mayo banned from the NBA for violating the anti-drug program. Consider the hammer dropped.

Well, two year suspension, but i'd say that signals the end of his career. Seems a bit harsh, no?

He can apply to be re-instated in two years. He doesn't automatically get back in.

Yeah, either way his career is likely done. I thought it was PEDs, but twitter is blowing up about it being weed. If it's PEDs again, then i understand. If it's weed related, then that is a joke.

I agree the Pacers got a good deal. I also like that they have added two bigs Jefferson and Thad Young and already have Myles Turner, LaVoy Allen and George who can play the 4. That means they might not be so eager to resign Mahinmi or Jordan Hill, two guys who I think we should target.

I mentioned on that really long "offseason moves" thread that I would love him for the "5. Several guys used the word "Sucks". Yes, they used the word "Sucks".

I said it then and I'll say it now: I think KAT is a 4, and if you can get a productive 5, you get him.

Two years does seem very harsh. I wish I knew the details are and what his prior testing history has been. I'd think he's going overseas now if he wants to keep playing. I guess I can scratch him off the potential bargain bin signings list.

Good point. I forgot Hill in my other thread, and i do like him, but he's productive enough where he may see 10mil-12mil a year. Too much for him in my opinion. Mahinmi I would pay that amount for, but prefer a 3 year deal.

It goes to show how much 3-point shooting is valued, because he has been a very consistent long-range shooter his entire career. I just don't see enough contribution in other aspects of his game though, so he doesn't seem like a max player to me.

You're right. He's good, but his PER splits are not max-worthy. That's why I love it. They are going to run out of money, and then Hildalgo and Anderson will be available. Nobody is talking about those two, and they both had decent years last year.
