Sources: Luc Mbah a Moute has agreed to a two-year, $4.5M deal to return to Clippers. Player option. Clips will use bi-annual exception.
Agree. With most teams having used up most of their space and most of the remaining players being one dimensional, we should start seeing deals closer to 5M a year and cheaper.
Deng and Noah received contracts that would have been bad deals for the Wolves. But the fact that none of his ex-players seemed very eager to join Thibs here is worrisome to me. It's cold here, we have no winning tradition, and we're far from cosmopolitan. We simply can't afford to have a coach that alienates his players. I know we're past the point of return, but for the first time thoughts of whether we can keep the band together have crept into my flow of consciousness. At least we have a few years before it all plays out.

I think that is a fair point. Thibs went to his old players and they didn't seem interested. I think it is more about the fact that we have to show some tangible promise through wins before big name free agents are ready to play in Minnesota. But certainly the inside connection through Thibs didn't do jack shit for us this year. I think ultimately it is a players league and our roster hasn't matured into players that other people want to play with yet. Soon I hope.

One of the reasons I like to keep our current starters together is they seem to gel well together. KAT seems to get along well with everybody and Wiggins and Zach also seem to share a special bond. Neither Gorgui or Ricky flash big egos and are pretty unselfish players and they seem to like it here and get along with others. Belly seems content with his role. Dunn seems happy to be here and learn from Ricky. KG knows he's old and seems to have embraced being a mentor. Tyus seems happy to be playing for his hometown team and accepting his role. Same now appears to apply to Cole. Good blend of guys and one of the reasons I wasn't wanting to see the Butler trade.
I'm starting to embrace just signing two more guys that best address our needs on cap friendly deals and keeping firepower ready for next year's free agency class or for the ability to facilitate a trade and pick up a draft pick from somebody.

I agree with this. Teams win games. You need unity and cohesion. I think that's an underrated aspect to winning, that and role players.

Yeah it might even take a couple years of sustained success before we can attract a high profile player to come here. As usual, we need to exhibit some patience on this.
Yeah, AP summarized with a series of tweets. This is the key one:

Wolves still won just 29 last year. Stars are still young and everyone wants to see how Thibs puts his system in before committing ...
The Knicks rescinded their qualifying offer on Langston Galloway.
Interesting. Galloway is a career 35% three point shooter and he can pass and rebound. His overall shooting isn't great, but he's another shooter that's available.
So the Warriors just say "we have no center, what center wants a ring for the room exception?" Zaza raised his hand first...

Vertical Sources: Free agent center Zaza Pachulia has agreed to a one-year, $2.9M deal to sign with the Golden State Warriors.
