I wanted to target him in FA to backup Rubio. Glad he is having a good year for Hornets, but wish he was hear so we would see LaVine playing SG instead of PG.

I have no idea why he got paid so little. He can play. Good for him and the Hornets because based on what I saw last night they need talent.

I haven't seen him play for maybe a whole year but Kemba looks in terrific shape.

He didn't show much with the Lakers or Rockets, but he proved to be able to start and is young enough to play big minutes in a pinch. Great backup as long as he accepts that role.

it looked like a poor crowd to me too, but it makes sense. Charlotte isn't a big draw and there was a full house in Xcel across town. Plus they'll probably pack the place tomorrow night, so last night was bound to be a dead night.

We lost last night because three reserves had to start...LaVine, Martin and Payne. Combine that with Pek also being out, and it's difficult to be upset about a loss. Sam played many years, and he understands the concept of "the season" rather than "one game"...we're going to see many nights where he gives someone the night off rather than risking a more serious injury. I'm fairly certain that KG and Wig would have both been playing last night if it were a playoff game. The only DNP that concerned me last night was Ricky. He played hard on Monday and showed no signs of an injury, but something must have happened to his knee. I hope that this was just Sam being cautious on a night when he knew the fans weren't going to show up, but with Ricky, you always have to be concerned. I'm going tomorrow night, and he better play against the Warriors.

Somewhere along the line, Lin got a bad rep as a guy who can't play at this level. Probably because of the the size of his contract and all the hype surrounding him. He was never THAT good. So he shouldn't have been judged as a go-to-guy on a team.

But as a serviceable backup who averages about 16/6 per 36 minutes and gets to the line a decent amount... not a bad player. And a great bargain at only $2M in today's NBA.

[Note: Even at his "worst"... his PER is around 15, which when done over the span of years indicates he's an average guard. Again... getting an average guard who can give them 20+ minutes every night for only $2M... fantastic deal for Charlotte.]

Didn't get to see this one but Tyus and Miller combined for 16 minutes and a -32...yikes. Perhaps their minutes overlapped which would help make that seem less bad but it has to be tough to give up that many more points in such a short amount of time.
