Fred Hoiberg the Wolves new PBO
How would people feel if he was given Flip's role next offseason?

Re: Fred Hoiberg the Wolves new PBO
Interesting thought. Not going to happen because Fred is locked in as coach in Chicago, but as a hypothetical I like it. Fred came to speak to my breakfast group several times, and I was always impressed with his basketball insights...definitely a bright, clear-thinking guy, who would likely make well thought-out basketball decisions.
I have to profess complete ignorance about Milt's abilities as a PBO. He also seems like a bright guy, but I haven't heard him talk basketball as often as I've heard Fred. I need Milt to be involved in a few PBO moves before I can offer anything intelligent about his capabilities. We may have the best PBO in the league right now, and we don't know it...or, we could have the worst.

It won't happen but I would be down with it. There where a number of posters on the old ESPN board that had plenty of interest in giving Fred that job back when Glen ultimately ended up searching for someone else and hired Kahn. McHale and Hoiberg make for an interesting combo based on the roster at that time and based on the alternative dark times this franchise went through. lol
