Guard play scoring was the difference in this game.
Ricky has played well no doubt, but guys like Lillard can get, take and make his shot at any time..

Missed FTs certainly hurt, but it's still REALLY frustrating when the refs botch multiple calls late. On Kmart's drive to the hoop he took a forearm to the chest should have been an and 1, Wiggins tip in certainly looked like it came off the rim (it was definitely out of the cylinder), the blown jump ball call and I really wondered about that strip on Kmart at the end too, but not enough replays.

Not going to fault Mitchell for that. Towns will get his turn eventually, plus Wiggins is MUCH more likely to draw a whistle whereas Towns is still going through rookie hazing.

The out-of-bounds play for a 3.....that is probably worth getting upset about.

Yeah can't fault Mitchell for that either because Wiggins had a big mismatch.

I won't argue with that aspect of it, but you don't draw plays to try and get foul calls. You want the scored bucket primarily. My problem with it was Wiggins couldn't score a field goal all night long. He couldn't score on McCollum in the post earlier in the game either. How many buckets did Towns score in the post? I can think of four and they were all good moves. If you wanted to try to work it in from the post in that situation, how in the world do you go with a struggling Wiggins over Towns? It baffled me.

With the type of night Wiggins had, I think Portland was glad to see that was the route Mitchell decided to take. Took the ball out of Minnesota's best three offensive players hands.

Also, we were 3-13 from three tonight.

1. Not nearly enough attempts.

2. Even worse when you think about how many long twos we took that were about a step inside the line.

Tough loss and the worst part was once those calls were reviewed my internet got slow so it took forever to get to the outcome.

Overall the Wolves played well but they had stretches where they couldn't make the plays things went wrong and it meant a loss. At the end we just don't have a guy to go to at the end of the game. That may come in time. Can makes a good point why not get it to Towns?

Lots of good in this game. The inexperience and lack of playing together is what hurts this team the most. This game was there for the taking its too bad we couldn't get it done but no shame in that performance and 2-1 ain't too bad.

I know in the first half the Blazers were conceding the inside and the Wolves were finding players at the rim. Some guys just don't seem comfortable taking moderately contested 3 point shots. A couple times guys probably should have let it fly.

Even in this game KAT is so damn impressive. Freaking beast this kid. At this point if the Wolves are down two in late game situations he should be the guy getting the shot.

Martin? lol... he can score but no way you should ever go back to him late in games and Wiggs jump shot is just not that good right now.

3 point shooting and 2nd chance points cost us that game, i can live with 3 point shooting because i just see that as the way we're constructed. Just not gonna outscore many teams from the 3 point stripe, but the 2nd chance points were ridiculous. Portland missed so many shots and were able to score on the 2nd chance. Can't let that happen.
