Give me a break. I played soccer for 15 years, and had worse injuries (twists and sprains) every game.....and that was as an unpaid youth. I would expect that a grown man that BARELY twists an ankle, and makes $12MM per, to continue to "gut it out". What a joke.

I get it. Ricky haters can have it both ways. He can't play through an injury. . .until he does then they have to discredit the injury to keep making him look like a pussy. What a joke.

Come on Phenom. You can't be serious with this argument. Again, in playing, and now coaching, youth sports, I have seen 10-12 year old kids stay in games (football, basketball and baseball) where they sustained a more substantial injury than what Rubio did the play in question. I also have kids like Ricky, who seem to always go down with some time of ailment. You are correct, he did play through that particular injury. If he hadn't, I would have checked to see if he had man parts at all. Again, not a serious injury.

Look, I want Rubio to be tougher...and better...but to date, he just isn't. Not sure what else to say here.

But why is anyone questioning his toughness to begin with? Should he have played through the acl tear? The ankle roll? Should he have come back from it sooner? Maybe. Was he also a victim of a tankjob last year? I think so.

OK Phenom. I guess my point is that 1 of 2 things are true: 1) Rubio is a sissy and misses games because he can't gut it out; 2) Rubio's body continues to fail him, making him massively injury prone. I would guess it is an equal mix of both. But the reality is....I don't care which it is. Whether point 1 or 2, he simply misses WAY too much time for a player considered to be a cornerstone of this franchise. He needs to figure out a way to stay on the floor and contribute....and that has been a struggle to date.

I just can't hold those 2 injuries against him, nor the circumstances of last year. It's absurd.

As a big Rubio supporter who also has been worried for a couple years about his injury history he has done nothing to alleviate concerns there. I have not given up on the idea he can stay healthy but I am more worried than when the season started.
