Fine. Take Pekovic out of the equation. My point still stands.

Wouldn't Martin be considered a journeyman at least? I'd agree Thad & Pek aren't b/c typically it is someone who has played for quite a few teams. So maybe "journeyman" wasn't the right choice of word, but I still think the young guys have overall out played the vets who've been kicked around as possible trade bait.

Martin
2nd round pick
for
Otto Porter and Dejaun Blair
Martin
for
Raymond Felton
Al'faruq Aminu
Felton? Oh hell no.
Can you provide any great insight on the other trade? Or maybe how Aminu could be a young piece going forward, and Felton would be a cheap expiring trade chip next year?

I have a story on Felton. I was in Vegas one time during Felton's first or 2nd year in the league. I had a 4 game parlay going and had already hit on the first three. I was out shopping at Caesars with my wife and I found a shop that had a TV on with the game I needed to win. There was a young girl working at the shop and she preceded to tell me that she was Felton's girl friend. She wanted to know if I had heard how he had played that night, and was concerned that she hadn't heard from him in a few days. I asked her how long she had known him, and she said a few weeks. I didn't have the stones to tell her that he probably had "girlfriends" in most NBA cities. Anyway, I won my parlay and we all have learned what a POS Felton is.
Well, I guess it wasn't that good of a story. But every time I see him play I'm reminded of that night. To your question, I don't know enough about Aminu to give you a good opinion. I don't want Blair or Porter either. My hope would be a first round pick from a contender that would give us a choice in the 20's. I like Flip's eye for talent and would like to see what he could do with another first this year.
WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE THIS YEAR? AND NEXT YEAR HE IS GOING TO BE 33 YEARS OLD. And yes I honestly want to throw Zach out there for as many minutes as he can get.

Sad, what a naive woman. She probably just fucked him for his money/fame anyhow. So i wouldnt say hes the only POS there.
I would trade for porter and Blair no problem. I can see how most wouldn't do the Dallas trade. I'd also like a first, but Otto porter is only 2 years removed from being picked #3. I'd take it.

I was against the Young trade at the time and I still am now. I thought it was going to be hard to contend for a playoff spot in the west if we were completely healthy and playing at out best. I understand the trade from Flip's perspective, giving him the best chance to win. It is what it is and Young is at worst a very good rotational guy and maybe he can bring a good asset back for us.
Will be interesting how Flip approaches this process. Thad is obviously playing better, he still likes AB, so something has to give here. He can't have 2 backup PF's. If Thad keeps playing well and opts in at 9 million a year, Flip will probably consider that his best option for next year. I don't think he's worth that much, but that wouldn't outrage me either.
