I'd take Terry + Pelicans 1st or Terry + Jones. Either one seems like a good move to me.
I like either, but if we added Jones then what? We'd have 4 "PFs" if you count Thad.
I don't even count Bennett at this point. Anthony who?
And I guess go back to experimenting Young at SF in a big lineup. Rubio-Wiggins-Young-Jones-Pekovic. It's the same lineup we used with Dieng at PF, except Jones can play that position much better than Dieng can.
Bennett fits the PF mold unlike Thad.
That lineup looks solid, but it still leaves Payne & Bennett and they need minutes this year at least to really see what they have. I guess they could trade Bennett if they acquired Jones though.
Bennett sucks, though. He fits the "I don't have a place in this league" mold.
PS: Bennett's played 1,494 NBA minutes to this point. He's showed minimal to no improvement since day one. He still plays lost and confused on both ends of the floor. You're still waiting to "see what he really has". I'd argue that we've seen it, and it's not good at all.
I think we should deal Martin and Young provided we get fair compensation for both. I don't see either being long term solutions for us. I'm not advocating giving them away, but I feel we should deal them now or in the offseason. I would also see what Pekovi? can fetch us. I wouldn't be in a rush to trade him, but I see if I get a great deal for him. OKC would be a good partner for him.
I'll be surprised if we get anything for Bennett. It's worth a try I guess.
If we can get anything for Budinger without having to attach a second rounder I'll be very pleased. Flip might even win me back to his side, after digesting the Payne trade I've come out on the side of bad move. If he can snatch a second rounder from a contender I think that's the best we can hope for. Get it done Flip!
The suns are in a tough spot right now with dragic. He demanded a trade and will only re sign with 3 teams in miami, lakers and knicks. Do you guys think we can get in on this scenario and be the 3rd team to facilitate this trade?
Im looking at kevin martin as a good fit for the suns and certainly better than what those 3 teams could offer outside of 1st round picks and their superstars.
If we could trade martin to suns and dump bud's salary to the lakers for jeremy lin's expiring contract, it would be something to look into. Dragic would go to the lakers and lakers would have to throw something to sweeten the pot for the suns. It would be a straight salary dump for us.

In no way, shape or form am I looking to dump Martin. I'd like to dump Budinger, but I'm not using Martin to do so either.

Maybe the Lakers could give the Suns Jordan Hill and take back Miles Plumlee in that scenario? Perhaps we might even be able to grab TJ Warren? Still I think the Suns would want a draft pick back and the Wolves and the Lakers are both depleted in that department
Bledsoe/ IT/ Ennis
Martin/ Green/ Z. Dragic
Tucker/ Morris/ Bullock
Morris/ Wright
Len/ Hill
The Nuggets are looking to completely blow up their team. Talks of moving Lawson, Afflalo, Chandler and they already traded away Mosgov (still blown away that they got two first rounders for him).
I always appreciated how the Nuggets were competitive despite not having a true star after the Carmelo trade, damn shame they weren't able to keep it going.
I do like their young pieces though, Nurkic looks like he is going to be a beast and Gary Harris (who I had hoped we would draft) should get some burn after the deadline. So maybe their rebuild won't take long
i think getting Payne means Flip is done with either Thad or AB or both. It probably also means Flip isn't looking at a big in the draft, but of course he'll take Okafor or Towns if he drops far enough. Confusing times at the PF position right now.
I like Payne but I think Flip showed his hand here and other teams know he's desperate to trade Thad?

I dont like the idea of dumping martin for cap space as well but unless we could get a first round pick for him this trade deadline, we might have to do all the same somewhere down the road. Martin's best value right now is for a 1st round pick. If we cant get one this off season when there are multiple teams with legit chances of making the playoffs and making a deep run then I don't think we can get a first for martin going forward. I also like jeremy lin a bit.
