are we being to hard on flip?

He's made trades of marginal players for other marginal players and we as fans expect a big turn around.. The only trade that has any bearing on the future of the organization is the Love /Wiggins trade and I think we can all agree it was the right move . Is it Flips fault that players can't hit 15 ft jumpers let alone three pointers u all clamor for? If he ran a more 3pt friendly offense would these same players be able to make it successful?
Why don't we just hate on KG while we're at it, since he's the last player to get this team to the playoffs.... oh wait...

Actually I think we, myself included, are being a bit too hard on Flip. Let's see what he does this summer with the draft and next season as head coach. Until then, I'll try to cut him some more slack. :)

I say no. I am pretty pleased with Flip the GM. His big misstep to date is the selling of a late 1st and the Payne trade. He has done really week in the draft and pretty well with trades. (outside the Payne and selling a 1st) Then there is Flip the coach. Flip the coach has been horrible.

Of the players he traded. Every single one has played better for the team they were traded to then us.
That list includes Corey Brewer, Mo Williams, Thad Young, and Troy Daniels. Hard to feel good about your coach when every player ends up playing better at the next stop.

In what way? I think both coaches are awesome and the only way they do this trade is if the team has a big ego. I can see the 76ers doing it. I doubt the Celtics would.

Well, the Sixers and Celtics (especially Celtics) have two very good up-and-coming head coaches. Philly's defense shouldn't have been as good as it was, and you can attribute that to their coach and Nerlens Noel. Boston just made the playoffs in a rebuilding year! Brad Stevens made Evan Turner look like a decent starter in this league. Got Isaiah Thomas at the deadline and managed to keep him happy/focused on being their 6th man. Stevens is already amongst the best at drawing up plays for big possessions, in my opinion. And both Philly and Boston have a ton of first round picks for the future. They have ZERO desire to deal their head coaches (stability) for second round picks (unstable/lottery tickets).

It's just a silly idea, really. We'll get our new head coach (eventually) as a guy who likely hasn't done the job before (NCAA HC/ NBA AC).

Flip the GM has been more good than bad. Flip the coach has been all bad. I don't like Flip the coach. I can live with Flip the GM because he's made enough good moves to offset the bad ones thus far.

I don't think we are being too hard on Flip at all. We had some terrific discussion about his PBO moves last week, and on balance, the board was supportive of his overall record. Conversely, there aren't too many supporters of Flip as a coach, but I think our opinion of him is similar to his overall reputation. The media has caught up to what Q has been saying for awhile...that Flip's love affair with the long 2 is not an efficient offense. I think most of us give Flip somewhat of a pass on this season because of the injuries to key players, but still question aspects of his offensive strategy.
