I think Martin's trade value will be as high next trade deadline as this past one due to his contract. At that point a team acquiring him will have him for the playoff run and 1 more year. That seems a little more appealing to me than a playoff run + 2 more years.

That's true, but you are making some assumptions that I don't think you can make. Good health being the biggest. Guys don't typically become more durable as they age. Who knows what problems he is going to have next year? Or if he will even be playing at the deadline.

That is very true. I wasn't trying to imply that he'd be healthy b/c we never know about injuries. So I guess we can preface that with if he's healthy.

I think it will be useful to have Martin next year through the trade deadline. He's still a floor spacer which helps out Wiggins and others, and I'd like to see if LaVine and Bazz can both step up in that regard next year before shipping out our only real veteran wing player.

Oh wait, Bud!! : ) Heck if Bud keeps playing like this, then moving Martin earlier might make sense! But seriously, keep Martin and then see where we're at as we get closer to the trade deadline. If the young pups are stepping up, move him then and he'll still be valuable. Unless of course, we somehow don't get a big in this draft and run into injury/depth problems early next year with bigs and need to move him sooner.
