Correct me if I am wrong cam, but you are not saying towns comes into the league and is a 40% 3pt shooter at a high usage rate right away. He is saying that if left open he can knock down the open three in his rookie and be a pretty darn good mid range shooter. With the hope that towns can develop into a good 3pt shooter as time goes on (maybe like klove). I 100% agree with this statement. I do like the LaMarcus comparison. Tell me if I am wrong with this take cam.

I'm not Cam, but he sometimes pays me to be his spokesperson:

Yes, this is what Cam is saying.

Nobody is saying that Towns needs to be a 40% 3pt shooter to prove us wrong, but if he shoots 25% from 3 like he did in college (even on limited shots) that just isn't a weapon at the next level that he should get credit for. 33% in my opinion is the bottom of the acceptable 3pt percentage scale so if he can't hit that it isn't worth discussing as a positive for him. Payne shot 42% from 3 in college and was a 79% free throw shooter. Would you consider his outside shot a weapon this year? That is why there needs to be some actual statistical backing in my opinion when talking about NBA 3 point range because even good college 3pt shooters don't turn just turn into good NBA 3pt shooters. NBA range means nothing if you can't hit the shot with any consistency.

Shame on Karl for going 2-8 from three.

God forbid anyone question Towns' ability to do something. He has the ability to do anything and be anyone he wants. There's nothing he can't learn to do and learn to do it well at the NBA level. Just give him the nickname of GOAT. Step aside MJ. Towns is going to be the most versatile big of all time.

Cam is to Stauskas/young as Skip is to Tebow and Manziel.
