Good read. I am looking forward to a healthier team.

The former ballet dancer once used frozen banana peels to help treat a hamstring injury on Chauncey Billups,

This is clearly an Onion article

Interesting guy. Seems pretty unconventional, but he's well respected around the League. Bringing him here can't hurt and may help. I'm all in on the decision by Flip.

Here's another angle on this. Kander is yet another guy coming to the Wolves mainly because of his past association with Flip. Add him to the list along with KG and Prince as Wolves employees who would not be here now but for their high level of respect and affection for Flip gained through working with him in the past. That speaks volumes. And we repeatedly hear how players, coaches and GMs around the League have a high regard for Flip as a person and basketball mind. Taylor's decision to hire Flip as PBO may be characterized as a country club move. But I also think it was clearly the right move and probably one of Taylor's smartest decisions.

Ha, I have to admit I chuckled at the article too, alex...especially the banana peels bit! But like Lip, I'm all in on this move. There is no more highly regarded trainer in the NBA, and he moves into a role that is arguably the Wolves' greatest need. Serious Piston fans are furious with Van Gundy for reassigning Kander to a different role when he brought in his own guy as trainer. Their loss, our gain. Apparently he is known as an "ankle genius" around the league...both prevention and recovery. I read somewhere that he has already had a chance to examine Ricky's ankle ( I don't know when they were both in the same city, but I did read it) and said that he found them structurally sound. Good move by Glen and Flip!

Great point Lip. I think Flip paying his dues and being a passionate supporter of the game is something everyone who is in the know recognizes. I think there just might be a general malaise when it comes to Taylor, especially when he was nearly admitting that he had given up on the team and Flip was his last effort to reengage. I think Flip has done a great job in the business side and an unknown effort on the floor. I hope and pray this isn't it for him and that he gets better for more than basketball.

Looks like he has fixed Rubio's ankles already.

Thanks for posting this Bleed. If you haven't watched the 10min video you should. Kander is a guy with a lot of energy and knowledge. He is just another guy that's considered great at what he does that's all about routine and process but he is also innovative. It's pretty clear we are lucky to have this guy and if he he likes the staff we have that's probably a good sign.
