Who scores more points this year?
Which player will score more points this year (actual total points scored - not average, or per 36 extrapolations).

I went with my boy Bjelica.

I think it's Garnett. He'll still average 10 in 20 mins.

I went with KG as well for the simple fact that he's the declared starter and has best track record. The only dig is that KG will likely miss a lot more games. I still don't have a fix for how the minutes are going to be divided between KG/Payne/Bjelica. I'm glad camp is starting so someone can ask Sam that question. But for now I'm assuming each guy is going to get 10-15 minutes/game. And I expect Towns to get some time at PF as well. It will be interesting. For what it's worth, last year total points scored looked like:
KG - 323
AB - 298
AP - 213

This is a fun question, Anthony...consider updating results as the season progresses.
I actually concluded on two other guys before I made my final vote for Bennett. I started with KG, because he is the only one of the 4 guaranteed to start...at least at the start of the season. But you said total points, and he is likely to miss 15-20 games. Plus he only averaged around 7 last season. Next I migrated to Bjelica, most likely because I am still basking in the glow of his fine FIBA performance. But there are three issues with NB...adjustment to the NBA, uncertainly about playing time, and the fact he never has been a prolific scorer. Even as an MVP in the EuroLeague, he only averaged 12 a game. Discount that for the reduced minutes he will be playing for the Wolves and the competition on the floor for scoring, and his output should be less than KG's.
So, that leaves me with AB. We all know the flaws in his game, but I see a few factors in his favor. First, I think he may play the most minutes of the 4. Toronto has several candidates to start at PF, but none of them are very good. Patterson played the most minutes last year, but his career stats are 8 and 5. Scola has joined the Raptors, but he's 35 years old and looks old...at least when he isn't playing for his Argentinian team. That leaves AB. And don't underestimate Canadian national pride. The Raptors and their fans want him to succeed, and he will be given every opportunity. Second, of the 4 candidates in this poll, he is the only one who consistently looks to score...albeit sometimes to a fault. I think he will get a lot of minutes, and will average about 10 PPG. And that should be enough to win this contest. as long as he can stay healthy (and that's far from a given).

Re: Who scores more points this year?
This is a whacky question and nobody is likely to score a lot of points so it's nearly anyone's game. I picked KG. he scored more points last year and see sat out a lot of games. It's probably between him and Bjelica for me.
Predicting will win this poll is a toss up but LST you say that the Raptors doing have anyone very good at PF which I don't disagree with if you are talking about above average starter. However to suggest Bennett will get minutes over Patterson is odd he is a guy that has played legit rotation minutes for two different franchises that made the playoffs. He has a career 3 point 37% which is very good. At this point he is the type of guy you can reasonably hope Bennett turns into. You may think Scola looks old but the guy has rarely missed games coming into this league and the production is still there. 9pp and 6.5 rebs in 20mpg is pretty good. I agree that they will be giving Bennett an opportunity there but he has 2 natural PFs that are CLEARLY better players right now in front of him and this is a playoff team so it's not going to just hand over a lot of minutes to a player because they are young from Canada etc. Toronto has been pretty smart about their talent recently so the fact that they actually wanted Bennett is a good sign for him. There is opportunity there and even if he doesn't really put it together this year it's a good place for him to develop.

I voted for Bjelica. KG is the only other person who might lead in scoring. I think KG's minutes may go up this year, despite his age, as we are no longer in tank mode and want to win, plus KG will be pretty rested for this season and want to show he has some gas in the tank. I don't see AB getting many minutes unless he goes to the D-League. Toronto is a playoff team and I think AB gets garbage time minutes and occasional rotation minutes if there is an injury.

Yeah, my Bennett pick is a stretch. You're right that Toronto is already a playoff team (and probably better now that they have added Carroll), and they're not going to give AB the starting position just because he is a countryman. Toronto has 4 productive starters in Valencuinas , Carroll, Lowry and DeRozan, and I think they are going to want their main PF to mainly rebound and play defense. Patterson is the weakest rebounder of the three, but is the far superior defender, so he will likely be Casey's choice to get the most minutes at PF. The reason that I am staying with Bennett in this poll, though, is that I saw a different defender in the AB I saw with the Canadian team. He showed quick feet and good effort, and used his 7'1" wingspan and big body effectively. AB was so awful on defense last year that I think Casey will need a lot more evidence before moving him ahead of Patterson, but I think there is a chance if he continues the defensive work in did in the FIBAs.

I am going to go with Bee-a-Lee-zah. I think he will be in the ROY conversation, on par with Mirotic last year.

Well for our sake, I sure hope one of those guys scores a lot of points. We need production from PF. Love put in 2000+ points in his last year here. Thad Young scored about 700 for us last year before being dealt and roughly 1100 between two teams. It's possible the points (and the minutes) are going to be evenly split between KG/Payne/Bjelica. But a lot can happen. KG might get hurt (he's old) or he might play inspired. Bjelica might be awesome...or awful. Payne might get more run than we thought which could be good (or bad). It's just a poll question to get everyone thinking....the PF spot is now supposed to be a position of strength, but is it really? If Pek is healthy enough to play, I still hope Towns gets decent minutes at PF.
