Cam, While I'm excited about Bjelica too, it wasn't so long ago that you were fairly indifferent toward him and pumped up Bojan Dubljevi? as the superior alternative. I'm assuming it was this most recent season and FIBA tournament that changed your indifference to now calling him "my boy"?

And I'm concerned that somewhere in Philadelphia a certain Canadian SG is feeling a little betrayed.

Is there some new rule on this board that you can only have one guy?

I'm still a Dubljevic guy. I meant "my boy" as in I've been arguing in his favor for the past handful of months, and I'm not a fan of Payne. I think Bjelica's last season and the FIBA tournament definitely had an effect on my view of him, absolutely. He looked like a guy that could really make an impact in the NBA. You were on that train before I was ready to fully get on board. Kudos.

Understood. I think he's turned a few heads since he's gone from a long lost stash pick from the Kahn years to someone that has matured into a top-flight Euro player.

So Kahn had it right. The first second round pick to ever pan out for the wolves?

Hummel ended up being a pretty decent selection too considering. Also a couple media people say that Ranzone was the guy that pushed for Bjelica. Who knows if that is true or not.

Well, he has yet to pan out, but I'm hopeful. There have been others, Pekovic being the highest-profile example. Wasn't Doug West a second rounder? How about Craig Smith? That might be it.
