Re: If you could add one play ...
I'd probably answer Aaron Gordon for both. He's an athlete that actually uses his athleticism to get results - rebounds, steals, blocks, efficient buckets. Plus he'd be coming from a defensive culture under Skiles, so the idea of playing defense won't be foreign to him. He's only 20, so hopefully he can continue to get better.
Will Barton is a very close second. He is everything we had originally hoped Corey Brewer would become - a high energy wing that can do a lot of things well, including knock down the 3. My only issue with him is that I'm not sure I trust his 3-point shot. This is the first year he's been hitting it consistently and we've seen how guys suddenly struggle to shoot when they join the Wolves.

Justice Winslow for both. I don't want to add someone who's going to help us win too much this year and he's a great defensive compliment to Wiggins and Lavine. He'd give us another guy who can handle the ball. He's not a good shooter yet, but Prince doesn't really shoot either so we'd be adding a much younger and more athletic defender to what we're already running out there.

Ryan Anderson?
His name was brought up before and I remember seeing posts about his relative lack of WOW stats. 17 ppg / 6 reb / 37% on threes. But I think a guy like that can help a team beyond stats. Think Kyle Korver.
There was a lot of talk last season about just how important Korver was to that very efficient Hawks offense simply because of all the attention (and spacing) he gave the Hawks. They can document/analyze that stuff now.
The Wolves simply don't have enough spacing. Rubio/Garnett/Prince/Pekovic/Dieng/Wiggins/et al... none of those guys scare the other team when left alone on the perimeter. Anderson can get that 2nd big to take two more steps away from the hoop. Every time.
That matters. A lot.
[Note: I'm sure there are other guys other than Anderson... he just came to mind first.]

TJ Warren - Shooter and strong SF. I think he would be a great addition. He could actually fill both 1 & 2.
Portis for my young guy. I wanted a PG, but couldn't find one. Portis would be perfect next to Towns. He has range on his shot and cleans up the boards.

Re: If you could add one play ...
If the idea for selecting player for this season was to pick one that would improve our team most, I would probably select Andre Iguodala. He is legit 3&D guy that would replace Tay in starting five and improve immediately our spacing in offense without hurting defense since he would be even better defender than Tay. He has also decent handle and is good passer/team player that would help our youngsters.
For future I would probably pick Dennis Schroder. His rookie season stats and on/off numbers were even worse than Zach's rookie numbers but he has really improved after that. Check stats below:
2013-14 net rating -15.6 on-off -17.6
2014-15 net rating +0.5 on-off -8.5
2015-16 net rating +8.2 on-off +10.1
Schroder would play as our backup point this season and then I would find new team for Rubio next summer and Dennis would be our future starter. Another player that I considered was Stanley Johnson.

Mikkeman - Great picks. I love both picks. I was very tempted with Schroder as well. I like what I have saw in him the few games I have seen him play.

Re: If you could add one play ...
Schroder looks like a solid player. A bit skittish at times... but he's producing for a good team for multiple years now.
I think he'd push Rubio immediately for more minutes.

Re: If you could add one play ...
Schroder has almost same strengths and weaknesses that Rubio has. He is excellent defender and good pass first point guard. Even though he is quite short, he has Rondo-like freakishly long arms, very good lateral quickness and good defensive instincts as well. His weakness is also same what Rubio has as he is not good outside shooter but I would have much more hope that he can improve his shooting than that Rubio would improve his. He is also much better finisher at rim and puts constantly pressure on defenses with his driving ability.
I agree that he should probably get asap at least same amount of minutes than Rubio but I would like to not reduce too much Rubio's minutes this season that his trade value wouldn't go too much down.:)

Does Patrick Beverly count. I know they have been swapping him in and out.
