Teams have figured us out

Post by thedoper »

Ditch Ricky completely and force him to shoot 10+ times. I'm not sure any coach could completely erase this problem with this personnel. I want Sam gone, but Ricky is part of the problem. If he is the supposed heart and soul we need a transplant.

I won't pretend Rubio is playing well, but as the saying goes, you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink.

Dope, the thing is my 5th grade PE teacher could figure this team out. First play of game, Wiggins comes off double screen and misses 18 footer. Rest of game, refuse to fast break and run one of 3 different sets no matter who is on the floor.

That said, if someone else was consistently producing 27 points per game like Ricky, the Wolves would be in much better shape. This team is really just waiting on Wiggins, Towns and/or LaVine to fully arrive to become a good team. Ricky will look quite nice when everyone catches up.

While I don't think Ricky has to score for us to win, he does have to put pressure on the defense, and that doesn't happen when he continually passes outside for another brick rather than making the easy layup. Instead he continues to shoot the ball ten times a game at a 30% clip. Start playing to your strengths, not your weaknesses.

That's just it. But the collapsing is becoming so extreme that he has to shoot. It's painful to watch.
