Visiting the Motor City Kitties

Short week. Then a little late-season break. Winning this would be huge.

If they win they pretty much lock up the division championship!

If they lose the Lions have the inside track given the remaining five games for each team and the tie breaker!

I'm tempted to say the Vikings are the obviously superior team, but every time I do so the Vikings try proving me wrong.

The Lions have been staying alive now for a few weeks. I don't see them going down without a fight. Losing to them earlier should keep us motivated and from overlooking this game.

The Lions last 3 games were the Packers Browns and Bears. They have won the games on the schedule but that's not an impressive list of teams. This is HUGE game I can't imagine the Vikings overlooking it.

Handling the Rams has me comfortable even if we lose this week that we'll be fine in the long run. Crazy stuff happens in short weeks. I wouldn't take too much stock in a win or loss on the road at Detroit on a short week over the holiday. If we win I think that all but locks up the division. If we lose I still think we are in a great place to close the season on top of the division.

Here is a good read. This is going to be another good test.

Lions have lost to Falcons, Saints, Steelers, and Panthers. Lost by a combined 26 with the Saints being a 14 point loss. .

Its a big game. Only being up one game on the Lions would make me feel uncomfortable and Like you I do believe in this team. Like you said crazy stuff happens and even if the Vikings beat Detroit it's not over either.

Well if you wondered how Zimmer feels about Keenum now we know. Lol

Also if you haven't seen this video of Zimmer with Deion this week it's IMO a must see.

On the one hand It kinda pisses me off that he won't give Case respect for his outstanding play so far this season. On the other I figure he feels he's gotta kiss Teddy's ass given he clearly wants him back next season. It's a delicate balancing act, keeping the hot hand on the field while not angering the future.

Of course I wonder how much concern there really is in the Spielman and Zimmer's offices over getting a QB signed for next season? The Vikings have a Super Bowl quality defense, one of the better offensive lines in the league, and top end talent at the skill positions in Cook, AJ, Diggs, and Rudolph. What other team going into the offseason can offer a starting QB position on a ready to contend team? As a free agent do you want to sign with a contender, or a rebuilding team? I cannot believe there will be a free agent QB that wouldn't want that job! I think the Vikings are going to be in a great position even with having zero experienced QBs on the roster as free agency opens!
