Boy, would it be exciting if everyone always had the same point of view. That's a recipe for a successful chat board:)

I don't know.. Maybe I'm off, but I thought his point was that he hadn't seen Q mention how Wiggins has been exceeding his expectations of late or anything along those lines.

PS: TOTALLY up for a Q message board. hahaha

We won't have to worry about Wiggns in a few years so lets move on.

What do you, Cool, and Worldk want me to do, get down on my hands and knees and beg for forgiveness because I made some observations about his struggles early on? I'm also not going to get all teary-eyed over how great the #1 pick is playing when what he's been doing lately is exactly what we all are hoping to see.

Here is something I said in this very thread that recognizes the fact he was performing better - perhaps I didn't put enough emotion into it for the hindsight police:

Good analysis Mikkeman. He has definitely turned a major corner over the past couple of weeks as a scorer, both in terms of volume and efficiency. He's making a much higher percentage of his shots and doing more things off the ball to create easier opportunities for himself (cuts, fast breaks, steals, etc.). It's been an impressive turnaround after a fairly long stretch of struggling. Let's hope he can keep it up.

I want nothing more than for Wiggins to be successful. In fact, the whole reason I was dismayed by his early performance was because of how damn much I care about him and his future success. It means a ton to this franchise.

As for the Q message board idea, is there any advertising revenue???

Not yet, but I think you would get royalties and a piece of all forum related revenue.

I think the thing that bothered some of us, is just how quickly you and some others were to call him out for poor play. You have a history of jumping on our young players very early in their careers. Of course, you've been right about some of them. DWill comes to mind. I just thought that whole thread, not just you, was a terrible knee jerk reaction to his play up until that point. And as it turns out in this case, some of us were right.

Fair enough. Let's end it there.

[Note: Would now be a good time to bump old posts about Derrick Williams, Michael Beasley, Darko Milicic, Jonny Flynn, Wes Johnson, Rashad McCants, et al?]

This is probably the best way to end what was an interesting scuffle on the boards lately. I've been busy as of late so I haven't been on here commenting as much, but I'm sure if I was this wouldn't have been just a Q and Abe vs Board type conversation. I was right there in the middle of that Wiggins thread, though I still don't believe there was anything wrong with what we said.

The larger point in all of this is actually a very good thing. Wiggins has been a big producer recently. I saw a tweet yesterday that was very cool about Wiggins so I'll share the link here.

https://twitter.com/WolvesRadio/status/555505228871528449

For those that don't have a Twitter, or don't feel like opening the link, the tweet is an illustration of how many games since 12/23 that a player has had 20+ points. Wiggins has had 9, good enough for second in the NBA to Harden at 10. Wiggins' 9 puts him ahead of Davis and Irving. Wiggins over the last 11 games is averaging 21pts 5rbs 3asts 49% FG & 41% 3ptrs.

I guess we can all agree that wiggins is developing rather quickly and is looking more and more like a future all star level player. Thats all in our best interest.

I was firm on my stance that wiggins is the only guy i want to trade love for in the off season and i named him the rookie of the year winner the moment we got him. Very glad that he has shown me more than i expected his rookie season.

After seeing the beating Qs been getting , I bet a lot of guys are happy that old posts from the ESPN board can't be brought back to life . Specifically draft nite when Shabazz was taken!!!

I certainly appreciate the differences of opinions here . I think I've grown to be a more knowledgeable fan in part for my time spent on here .
The same hands that bring all the knowledge to this board are equally guilty of pointing fingers and self gratifying back pats from time to time. My self included. But hey, just like KG, we're all human!!

Well put Cool.

Q I didn't mean anything negative in my comment. It was more of an observation, but you are right. You have acknowledged his success and I know NO ONE on the board wants to see Wiggins do poorly in any way shape or form.
