1. KG (i came to the states in 2000, not really caring about basketball... he's the reason i became a Twolves fan a couple of years later, that and the awesome logo... i was 10).
2. Ricky (davis)
3. Wiggins
4. Wally
5. Terrell Brandon (barely got to see him play, but he was awesome in NBA Live 2000 or was it 1999? can't remember)

Honorable mentions:
Ricky Davi... ok still joking... maybe... *hides in shame*
Sam Cassell
Spree (i know things went down hill fast but he was part of the best wolves team ever)
Foye (i actually thought we had something in him and boy did it go wrong)
Love (2nd best player to ever play for this team)

1. KG (The competitive ass KG that played for the Wolves, not the complete ass that played in bean town)
2. Rubio (Gotta love a guy with KG's competitive fire, but plenty of class too!)
3. Wiggins (Bound to jump up in the coming years)
4. Wally (Dude was hwat!! No homo)
5. Cassell (Who doesn't like the alien?)

I cringed at seeing Love on Cool's list, I've never disliked a player quite like I do Love. Don't get me wrong, love his game, but that petulant attitude is a deal buster for me. I'll take a guy like KG who's clearly an ass on the court, but who's loyalty and competitive fire were unmatched by pretty much any professional Minnesota sports figure ever with the possible exception of the late, great Kirby Puckett.

KG, Rubio, Wiggins, Marbury (oh what could have been), Googs

One of my favorite moments was when the KG & Marbury led Wolves beat Jordan's Bulls for the first time so I had to include Steph.

Garnett. Best player for more than a decade. Played team ball. Made it easier to ignore the random silliness at times.

Ricky Rubio. Despite taking a more critical view at times to temper the sometimes unrealistic takes on his game and his shooting from other fans... I really dig watching him play. The pass-first PG will always be my favorite... and nobody plays that role better than Rubio right now.

Bobby Jackson. Never fell in love with a player as quickly as I did Bobby Jackson during that memorable Gophers season. My adoration followed Jackson into the pros.

Gugliotta. My first basketball love, the Celtics, had a do-everything forward who might have been Jesus. So anytime a guy was compared to Larry Legend, I took notice.

Kevin Love. Yeah, a bit selfish. Disingenuous. Etc. But after how Rambis/Kahn treated him (sitting him behind a frontline of Darko and Ryan Hollins)... you can see why things were never quite perfect.

[note: honorary mention: wally szczerbiak. this one is for the gal pal, a non-basketball fan. but, i always got a kick out of her seeing me watch a wolves game... and asking the inevitable "wally playing?" question. heck, i think she was still asking after he had retired for chrissakes. i don't know if she thought he was dreamy or the only guy she remembered...]
