Creative Trade Thread

Post by bleedspeed »

This is just a place to throw out trades that have little or no likely hood of happening just to see what us fans would think of them.

I'll go with
Anthony Bennett & Pek
for
Roy Hibbert (assuming he opts in)

Would love that trade for us. Doubt Indy does it though due to being tied to Pek for 4 years.

F Chase Buttinger
To Golden State For
F David Lee
Golden State clears 10 million dollars in cap space with this trade. It gives them a little more room to resign Green. This trade gives us a starting PF who averaged 18 and 9 last year while starting.

Actually, Pek has 3 years left on his deal after this season. But he's still not tradeable for any meaningful value in return based on the combination of his contract and physical issues. To trade him we'd have to give up something else of value like a first round pick like we did to get the Suns to take Wes Johnson. So we're stuck with Pek for 2 more seasons. We can probably get value in return trading him after the next two seasons innthe last year of his deal.

It's either trade an asset with him or take on another horrible contract, like Deron Williams for example. Williams contract is one year shorter, but he make almost double annual salary.

We are basically stuck with Pek for 3 more years.

Lets say we end up with the #1 pick in the draft. SVG calls. He is offering Drummond and Monroe in a S&T for the #1 pick and Pek. Would you do it?
