Andrew Wiggins Plans To Remain With Wolves For 'Very, Very, Very Long Time'

Andrew Wiggins has already been mentioned as a potential addition for the Toronto Raptors due to the franchise being his home team.

However, Wiggins expects to remain with the Minnesota Timberwolves long term.

"I love Minnesota," Wiggins said. "They treat me nice up there. I plan to be there a very, very, very long time."

To earn free agency, Wiggins would, theoretically, have to turn down a large contract extension from Minnesota following the 2016-17 season and eschew the restricted free agency process.

When you're 20, 4-5 years is a very, very long time.

You drew that conclusion b/c some random reporter asked him about one day playing for his home team? Serisously?

No not even a little bit, I put LOL as in get real that's laughable to think we are already worried about losing Wiggins. Why? He's rookie and he plays his first game in TOR and all of sudden we got reports on how long he plans on staying in MN.

Also what is Wiggins going to say, ya I am going to leave after my contract is up and come home. Lets hope the wolves can put talent around him and he wants to be apart of the future of the Wolves. Until then not going to worry or care about that quote

He could have given a politically correct/neutral type answer, but instead he emphasized his wanting to be here a long long time. That says something to me, but we all know things change. Gotta put some pieces around him.

The new CBA is actually worse for less-than-top-notch franchises.

Despite what the owners side said to convince everybody something else was happening...

More player movement is actually good for business.

This upcoming draft will go a long way towards projecting Drew's future here. Flip and co. has to nail this pick.
