You and me both Pork. The only difference between Rubio this year and next is that he will be making a ton more money. That ought to finally push all the others over the edge :thumb:

It'll never happen. All's it will take is one win where Rubio makes 5 jumpers and that will buy the bandwagon at least another season

@JerryZgoda: New blog: Pekovic to undergo Achilles "debridement" surgery next week

That doesn't sound too great. I'm a fan of Pek on the floor and it sounds like he is a good dude for a number of reasons but its not looking good for his basketball career right now. Sigh

I hope it fixes the problem or we learn he's done. I'd rather have either or one of those scenarios than a 12 million a year part time player

Agreed. I was dreading the thought of "rest in the offseason and manage it next season". They are taking a stab at fixing the problem. Good.

You are correct. Rubio is the NBA equivalent of Kirby Puckett. I am one of the rubes.

Kirby was a HOFer that was a vital cog in championships . I don't recognize the comparison.

They were fan favorites is all. Kirby was never Glen Rice or Dave Parker, but there was an emotional attchment to him.

No the words were fine, the message was really unclear. Is there something the rest of us don't know about athletes from 20 years ago? And don't apologize for being pretentious/condescending , you can't help it .
