I agree. Another thing I really like about him is the way he draw fouls. He is so athletic and has such outstanding body control that its almost impossible to block his shot around the rim without fouling him. To think that he has so much room to grow his body and get stronger, he is almost assured to make a living at the ft line in his career.

He's very good in post-ups, but I still think Carmelo was better at this age.

PS: Wait until Wiggins gets stronger. He'll be able to drop-step through guys instead of these left/right shoulder fades he sometimes settles for.

Bud, Bud, Bud. Where has this guy been the last couple years? At this point, there's not much point in keeping him with our young wing depth (can't wait to see if Shabbazz keeps developing next year), so of course it's just now that he starts playing up to his salary. I think I actually hate him more because of it. :)

The other thing I like is that he doesn't use any unnatural tricks or shooting acts to draw the foul. He just goes up with every intent of making a shot instead of sticking his arms out into people or putting his shoulder into guys. He's a foul-drawing purist, if you will.

Yeah, he has played great the past 6-7 games. But to answer your question about where he has been...hurt, of course. I thought Adelman did Bud a terrible disservice rushing him back last season, and playing him so many minutes when he was clearly not ready. And the bad experience seemed to sap his confidence. It's nice to see that he has it back.

But let's be realistic about the recent reincarnation of Bud. Robson had a great tweet last night, when he said playing Bud at PF is really just trading one bad matchup for another. It's true that most PF's have a hard time keeping up with a constantly moving Budinger, but similarly, he really struggles to guard PF's.

But all that aside, this Bud revival is all good. It increases his attractiveness in any deal Flip tries to put together, or, he remains an effective end of the bench option.

- Wiggins made a couple of the more impressive dunks I've seen all year from him. For those of you that missed the game, I can assure you they will show up in GIFs or highlight film tomorrow. I think him and Harden are developing a bit of a rivalry.

- 20-44 on 3's for the Rockets; 6-14 for the Wolves. Unbelievable. This is what, the fourth time we've played the Rockets? There is really no excuse for not pressing up on EVERYONE beyond the arc except for Dorsey and Howard. Literally every other player has a green light to launch the 3-ball, even if being guarded reasonably close.

- It was tragi-comedy as Wiggins would come down, struggle to post up, and either score in the paint or get beat up drawing a foul. The Rockets would then proceed to come down the floor and knock down a 3. Rinse. Repeat. I mean, it was an impressive display by Wiggins, but we were exchanging 1 or 2 points for their 3 pretty much all night.

- Budinger with yet another impressive night. Man, has he been a late season surprise. I'm really hoping we can cash in on his good play and trade him away for a future pick this offseason.

- Lorenzo Brown is the only guy on our team capable of winning 50/50 balls. I swear, if anyone of our guys are around a loose ball but him, it's going to the other team.

- On the flipside, staying with Brown here, I like his general peskiness out there, but he has trouble staying in front of guys. I've seen guards blow by him pretty easily a few times these last few games....Something to keep an eye on. His shot was not good tonight either.

- Justin Hamilton has been pretty useless since his migraines. He's very similar to Dieng in that if his man gets within a few feet of the rim, he just folds up shop and goes into the fetal position.

OK, back to the Duke-Utah game!

Q in response to your comment about defending the 3 point line to me it's pretty simple and obvious that the Wolves are a bad team on that end badly coached low in talent etc etc. It reminds me of games I've been on the wrong side of in city league where teams just rain 3's because we suck. There have been a lot of things go wrong that you can reasonably make excuses for Flip and his staff on the defensive end but yeah it's tragically comically bad a lot. We need to add a defensive mind to the coaching staff in addition to some talent on that end.

Carmelo isn't better at posting up now. Are you kidding me?
