Oh, the 76ers....

Post by Hicks123 [enjin:6700838] »

What on earth....now their top 3 players are all centers. The sad thing is that none of them are equipped to play any minutes at PF. I saw that some were thinking a Noel/Embiid combo would work, but I disagree. Now add Okafor to the mix, and you have 3 true centers with little to no outside game. While I get why the 76ers grabbed Okafor (certainly BPA), they need to figure out a strategy to change/trade assets.

I think Neol and Okafor will work. I think Embiid is never going to be right.

They will be making moves for sure. I wouldn't mind getting one of the three, but we don't have the assets to make any moves for one of the three. I would be leery of trading for Embiid due to injury. Would definitely buy low on him though.

If Embiid can't stay healthy Onafor is the right pick. If Embiid can get healthy and play some games and look somewhat good he can either be kept or traded for something. The Sixers are going to suck again so they will be able to try again next year so I don't think that ending up with Okafor is the worst thing he is a pretty nice prospect to end up with at 3. that said their plan took a big hit not getting Russell that would have made a ton of sense.
