An intro from Down Under
Hi all - first time poster, long time stalker. I'm a Wolves fan from Australia, just across the ditch from KiwiMatt. I started supporting the Wolves when I was 11, way back in 1992. My mum bought me a pair of sports socks and a hat while my mates were supporting the Bulls, Knicks and Rockets. I often wonder how different my life, and blood pressure, would be if the socks and hat were different colours.
I grew up catching fleeting glimpses of the Wolves on 'NBA Action' - we got it about a week late in Australia - and haven't looked back. My wife and I visited Minny for the first time last year and caught four games in eight nights. It was a great experience and our story was immortalised on the interwebs: http://www.nba.com/timberwolves/news/australian-fans-enjoy-first-trip-target-center
Anyway guys, just wanted to say hello and thought today was as good as any to join the forum. I'll be watching the NBA Draft live from 9.30am local time, though I'd rather be at Target Centre or one of the nearby bars that I spent far too much time in during my visit.

Welcome!
I would love to go visit Australia some day. I have had a number of friends that are from there or lived there for a while.

Wolfdownunder....welcome and cheers. What part of Australia are you from? I had the pleasure of making the long flight for a one month walkabout with my lady this past feb-March. (Sydney, Cairnes, Melbourne, Perth, etc etc) Life changing!

Hey Slim, I am from Brisbane on the east coast. About one hour from the wonderful beaches of the Gold Coast. Feb/March would have been brilliant weather for you guys, especially up in Cairns!

Terrific story...welcome to the board, WDU!
Re: An intro from Down Under
Welcome! My daughter had a study-abroad semester in Brisbane, and my wife and I traveled there to visit when her semester was up. I did not make it to the Gold Coast, but both my wife and daughter made it there when her semester first began.
It was a fun trip, including Darwin, Sydney, and trip to the south island of New Zealand.
