Just thought I'd share it even though he's long gone from here... but it was arguably one of the larger speculative debates waged on this forum this past season.

To me, Thad Young was a perfect example of how important "fit" is when assembling a roster. He's not a bad player. But it didn't work out here. The fans turned on him (or at least most of this board did). Some of that was probably over reaction. But that's life. I wish the guy well. But I'm not upset that he's no longer here.

Miami sucked this year. May lose Wade in the offseason and will likely suck next year either way. In the end the Wolves wouldn't have received the pick this year, and quite possibly not next year. Would it be a nice asset to have some day? Sure, but I'm pretty non-plussed about it.

Regarding the Young for KG aspect of it I believe KG will be of more value to this team than Young ever would, even in limited to no minutes.

I'm bothered more about the pick they gave up for Payne. I would have personally waited on Bjelica and retained the pick, especially with the benefit of hindsight.

Just b/c he opted out with the Nets doesn't mean he would do the same here. We can't just assume.
