A couple thoughts.

1. I watched Dieng in SL I really Like Dieng but IMO he is probably at least a year away from being a starter at any position. He doesn't play strong enough as a post defender as a man defender and doesn't quite know what to do as a man defender against PFs. He absolutely still has the potential to be a starter but I wouldn't trade Pek just yet Dieng isn't ready. Trying to acquire a 2-way player like a younger Iggy will be tough even if you think Pek has a lot of value Like I do.

2. As Q pointed out we need wings that can shoot but I will say that if LaVine and Wiggins could actually finish at the rim (really not sure about LaVine when it comes to that) it would be significant. The Athletes we have acquired or drafted have been sort of awful at finishing near the rim like Wes and Williams for example.

3. I get what people say when they talk about this team is capped at being just maybe a good playoff team and with the west being so stacked that's not even a certain deal every year. IMO I think there is a chance this team can improve to contender status. If you have no faith that we can't take the next step with some real legit high level NBA talents that we could possibly build around like teams like the Bulls Spurs and Thunder have been able to do with lower picks why have faith that a rebuild this organization is going to be able to turn it around? Also I really belive Love could take his game to another level as soon as this next year. He could improve and become a true offensive #1 like a Dirk or Melo type who just needs defense around him (also I think Love's d improves a little). I really don't think a team that has never had any core together for more than a few months at a time is really capped out when they actually have some legit talent. Rubio improving could change things as well along with Dieng being a legit rotation big. That's not even including other young talent like LaVine. This rambling my be for nothing if Flip pulls the trigger on a Love trade.

Imagine a lineup of Dieng/Love/Iggy/Martin/Rubio with JJ, Bud, Lavine off the bench. Then add a couple more athletic bigs and you may have something.

Golden State doesn't do that trade. Wings are hard to come by as it is.

no no, that wasn't a trade idea lol. It was purely as an example of the type of player who would be an ideal fit. The Warriors already have their defensive C along with an offensive PF.
