I don't know much about Tony Rizzo's credibility, but all of their space-clearing moves made me take the bait...hook, line and sinker.

Now, with others (doogie, sean devaney) saying there are no ongoing talks between the Cavs and Wolves, I wonder about Rizzo's sources.

He was a stretch 4 in college, and that's his best position in the NBA. I'd like to see him backing up Tristan Thompson, allowing us to release DC.

I still prefer including Bud over Martin in the deal. I want to think of Wiggins as a SG, but the experts are divided about whether he will work out there. That leaves us with a glut of SFs, and I'd rather have Martin as instant offense backing up Waiters.

I would prefer keeping Martin too, but I don't think there is any way Waiters would start over Martin at least not right away. In fact I doubt any of the Cleveland guys would start except whoever we got to play the 4.

You may be right, doper, but I see Martin as an Adelman guy and not a Saunders guy. As Flip looks for ways to differentiate himself from Rick, I see him carving out a different role for Martin (if he even stays). I gotta believe Flip must have been as frustrated with Martin's occasional lack of effort as many of us were.

I agree that Tristan Thompson is the only lock to become a starter if the rumored deal happens, although Flip is more likely to play young players than Rick, so both Wiggins and Waiters are possible starters.

Think Martin or Brewer starts at SG actually. Wiggins is a small forward today, potentially a shooting guard down the road when his handle is more advanced. Plus I wouldn't want to split SG minutes between two rookies.

Rubio
LaVine
Wiggins
Dieng
Muhammad
Robinson III
Thompson/Bennett
Waiters (?)

Minnesota might end up stacked with young talent.

There definitely seems to be lots of pessimism out there about it. After reading more I became more skeptical. My gut says Lebron stays in Miami.

My gut says it happens, but it's clear that the rumors are far out in front of the news again. Wasn't it just a week ago that the GS deal was a "done deal"?

James meets with Riley and his cap expert later this afternoon. Obviously, Riley is going to pitch to LeBron exactly what they are going to do with the available cap, so that LeBron can assess the roster's chances of contending. If he hears enough, he'll stay...but I don't think he will hear enough, especially in light of Bosh wanting a max deal.

True, but at the same time does CLE sending the Wolves an offer equate to "ongoing talks"?

IMO "ongoing talks" would be plenty of dialogue back and forth, not just an offer.

lebron signs with the Heat 2 years max money. You can take that to the bank. Although I would love it if he just signed one year deals for the rest of his career. Really keep front offices on their toes

Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
Cavaliers are pursuing a Kevin Love trade with Minnesota, contingent on the signing of LeBron James, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
