Re: Best Potential Love Trades
If we got some of those bigs for Love, do you guys think the Hawks would take Pek and one or two of those pieces for Paul Millsap and salary filler? Maybe Pek and Bennett/Thompson for Millsap and salary matching filler. They could roll with Pek/Horford/Payne and Bennett/Thompson in the frontcourt and we could get a good, veteran starting 4 to go with the young talent on the team. A Rubio/Wiggins/Millsap/Dieng starting 5 would be very good defensively.

Lavine didn't start in college. Doubtful they would throw him out there in that role next year.
Doubtful is probably the right word, Cool. I just tend to think Flip is really in love with LaVine and if he impresses in Summer League and practices, there's a chance of him starting. Flip has guts; I'll give him that.
Not to mention I'd rather LaVine get the bulk of the minutes at SG instead of Martin if Love is gone.

Yeah Cam, I would hope Flip would be more likely to give him run than Adelman. But he's just a fawn. Feed him PT bit by bit and let him earn more.

I could see that happening towards the latter part of the season. No matter what, wiggins is the one I want and I would believe flip wants as well. Glen, flip and the wolves have a fanbase to sell. Getting wiggins in exchange for losing a superstar in love is the best sell for the fans. You get a young and exciting player on a rookie deal rather than overpaying for a player we all know is not worth max money.
Forget about parsons and klay. Goodluck to rockets/mavs and warriors on paying them max deals. Go get wiggins flip.

Zgoda tweets that Wolves' insiders think LeBron is going back to Maimi for 2 more years...that would really be a letdown after this roller coaster day.

Aren't the Wolves insiders notorious for making mistakes? Like all the stuff I've read today, I'll take that with a grain of salt.

I saw that too. I just can't see why LeBron would do that. Wade's only getting worse and Bosh doesn't have what it takes to really take on the "No. 2" role. Cleveland makes all the sense in the world.

I agree, cam...I wonder who Jerry talked to...and what they know.

I agree that james going back to miami makes no sense. Consider that the cavs have agreed to trade away jack and young assets like zeller, future first and karasev for cap space. They have to make that trade knowing that james is coming back. Unless james has a change of heart at the last minute and screwed the cavs for the 2nd time.
A crazy day indeed.

I don't think we've discussed how interested Cleveland fans are in getting Love. I suspect they may be falling in love with the idea of Wiggins, and might have a difficult time jumping on the Love train. I've been following this guy's blog while he's with the club in Vegas (apparently Wiggins can play with the team unsigned), and there's lots of Wiggins talk, but not much about Love.

If James makes the move to Cleveland, what the fans want is immaterial...the Cavs have to make the moves James wants. But if Wiggins gets a chance to show off a bit in Vegas, trading him is not going to be popular with the fans.
