We were deprived of the anticipation and hype of draft Wiggins last year. Maybe the Love trade not only sent us last two #1 picks, but also Cleveland's lottery luck to nab the #1 pick this year!
It seems like forever since the lottery, but the anticipation and hype surrounding Towns has been a fun experience. But Draft Day is finally here. The #1 pick is a foregone conclusion (sorry to jinx it, Q!), but it doesn't take away from the excitement of watching it happen. Plus there is much intrigue to follow that 1st round pick. Needless to say, my productivity it taking a hit today!
I will miss the draft party tonight. If I were the Wolves PR, I would play this video over and over leading up to the pick. The crowd would be in an absolute Frenzy as Silver reads Karl-Anthony Towns!

Memphis had just traded for Luke, now Luke and Barnes trades places, who had just been traded to Charlotte. Heads must be spinning! And Doc hits his forehead and says "what have I done?!?" Barnes is going to be a thorn in his side 4 times in the regular season and probably in the playoffs, too!

That's possible. But I still think BOTH Bennett and Bjelica will be dealt today. Towns is your new starting PF and they still have KG and Payne - both which were traded for less than six months ago. Don't really see a need/spot of Bjelica myself - but I know I'm in the minority on that.

Looks like Houston is making both Terrance Jones and the #18 available because they want to clear some salaries in order to make a play for Love or LMA.
Too bad we don't have a future 1st rounder to trade... (although I still am in Payne's corner!)

Is there a semi-reasonable possibility we could send them our 2 2nd round picks for #18 and take back Jones in our trade exception as a separate deal? That might be selling low for them.

Actually, draft picks have no monetary value if the pick has not been signed, so no exception is needed.
Cam would be tickled pink if we took back Jones in our Brewer exception, but somehow, I think Houston will find something better for that #18 pick.
