I visited the Lakers board and the majority are freaked out about overpaying for Cousins.

At this point the real intrigue is what #twolves will do with 31 & 36. Package & move up? Keep both? Sell one? #NBADraft2015

GRRRRRRR

If they sell a pick, we should all hold a sit in/protest down at the Target Center. That's just not right. Roll the dice on some Euro if nothing else.

If the Rockets are wanting to unload Jones for no salary in return I wonder if our two second round picks would interest them. Terrence Jones is a perfect fit at PF for us. He is still very young. Good athlete and solid all around player.
C- Towns 19
PF- Jones 23
SF- Wiggins 20
SG- LaVine 20
PG- Rubio 24

That's a very good young lineup that can grow together. Plus you have bench young guys in Dieng and Muhammed. I doubt Flip goes after Jones, but he really should.

We have too many power forwards as it is. Our target for them should be #18. Either that or involve a third team who would take a PF off our hands.

We may have a lot of PFs but he would immediately be the best one. We need better talent at every position but sf with Wiggins. If they gave you a choice between Jones or the 18 pick you take Jones.

I doubt they trade the 18 pick by itself though. Wouldn't they just trade them together for a pretty high lottery pick? Or are they in that much cap trouble that they cannot even afford a rookie if they to after LMA or Love?

Are any of them any good though? Jones is a solid young starting PF that fits the profile of this team well. Would be a great fit here. Payne and Bennett don't look like answers. KG is very old. Jones has proven he can play in the league and play well. He hasn't even reached his prime yet.

Wolves can't just take Jones for the pick seeing as they are over the cap

Philly will likely make it happen. Though it would be nice to make bit a 3 the deal. Bennett and #18 to philly. Jones to us. 31/36 and a future philly pick to Houston?

if LMA says he will leave for houston then that could be a good start for a sign and trade

I don't get why. They're traditionally one of the biggest draws in the free agency market. They could get Cousins and sign Love or Aldridge in year 1 and with Kobe's expiring deal and the cap jump probably be able to sign two other max free agents next summer.

. @WindhorstESPN on ESPN just now says Flip is trying to trade back into the 1st. Says they do want to grab Tyus Jones.

I like it. A kid with a great basketball IQ and championship pedigree.

I know some on here will roll their eyes. But I wouldn't hate it either. Kid has been successful at every level. And is very young. Would be fun to watch.
