I think it's been broached before, but if Lebron and Blatt doesn't get better. Would anyone be opposed if we "traded" for him for a 2nd round pick. Or could they trade his contract for nothing so they wouldn't have to pay the rest of his salary instead of firing him?

I know that Martin and Pek are your excuse for Ricky's last years on/off numbers but what is your excuse for Ricky's other years?

In his rookie year, team was 21-20 when he was injured and 5-20 after that. Love's net rating per 100 possessions was +2.5 when paired with Rubio and -1.6 otherwise (Rubio's net rating without Love was 0). Only in his 2nd year he didn't have positive plus minus mostly because team had almost similar injury situation than in the end of last year and he was playing mostly with some 3rd string players and 10 day contract guys and he was still clearly suffering from previous years injury.

Last year Love's net rating per 100 possessions was +7.1 when paired with Rubio and -1.5 otherwise (BTW. Rubio's net rating without Love was still +3.0).

I was going to mention all the other years, but as always Mik, you bring the helpful numbers. ;) So I don't really need to say much else. One thing is for sure, Rubio has shown he makes the team better. How much better can he make this squad full of talented youth and a few solid vets? We'll have to wait and see. I for one can not wait.

Wow...even an unabashed Love detractor and Rubio supporter like me wouldn't have believed the numbers could be that dramatic! Thx again for the interesting information, mikkeman.

Great stuff Mikkeman. I wonder if last years good play with KG here was more about Rubio playing then KG himself. (not really but throwing that out there)

I just want alley-oops to Wiggins, LaVine, Towns, Shabazz, Bennett, and Payne all game long. That will be our offense. Really though, our teams sucked with the likes of Beasley, Wes Johnson, and Derrick Williams, but I loved seeing those plays. It brought excitement when there was no other reason for any. If we're playing better defense then i'd love to see us play really fast. We have all the athletes we need to keep the pressure on the other teams.
