I gave an A+, and it actually has little to do with Towns. I was elated we got him, but he was a relatively obvious pick going into last night. The way most teams seemed to approach picks 2-10 was that Towns would be off the board, and most reports from ESPN indicated this. The reason I gave an A+ was because of Tyus. People seem to be overanalyzing the Tyus pick and belittling his potential. We traded two second round picks that, historically speaking, have very little chance of making any sort of impact. So you essentially traded your borderline 15th man for a mid to late first round talent. He's knocked for his size and athleticism, but many of you fail to weigh that against his superb ball handling and court vision. He has an array of moves he uses when driving. Honestly, he comes off as the exact opposite of Lavine, but I think they'll play great together because of it. You need someone to run an efficient offense and feed the ball to Wiggins, Towns, and possibly Shabazz (When healthy, I really liked what I saw last year from him). Jones has a tendency to reward his wings and big men for driving and I love that about him. He also is a respectable spot up shooter, although it's not usually part of his game. All in all, I'm just glad Flip is digging into the blue collar programs of basketball lately. UCLA, Kansas, Duke, and Kentucky. I think the coaching that these schools give prepares players for the NBA better than anywhere else.

You are just bitter because you didn't get picked! Was it lonely in the Green Room?

I gave it an A. Towns was a good pick but for some reason I just don't see him being the best in the draft class. I think this could resemble the 2009 draft where Griffin was the obvious pick, he turned out to be an all-star but ultimately not the top player that you're going for with the top pick.

I like the use of the 2 second rounders more than the actual player (I do like Tyus though). Every year we talk about the possibilities with those picks but they usually just go to waste, finally we act aggressively and go after someone we think can help us.
