Per Tweet from Doogie "I'm told to add Portland to the Hummel mix. Had reported of Nuggets, Kings, + Cavs interest. Denver & Portland most interested now."
Per RW: "The Nuggets and Blazers have shown a lot of interest in free agent forward Robbie Hummel. The Wolves reportedly withdrew their qualifying offer to Hummel last week, so he is an unrestricted free agent."
I thought Robbie was returning, but the stories today suggest that may not be the case. I don't want to lose Robbie, especially after we gave Bud away. If Robbie leaves, it makes the Bud trade more puzzling.
Is Robbie Hummel likely gone?

I wouldn't put any stock in what Doogie says. He is used by multiple sources to put info out that betters their interests. He is usually so happy that someone talks to him, that he doesn't bother to follow up.
If you check the other sources they usually come right back to Doogie's tweets, which means they are based on very little.

I agree with a lot of this post. I don't totally dismiss Doogie but I don't find him to be all that reliable either.

Re: Is Robbie Hummel likely gone?
We replaced Bud already in the trade, so Hummel shouldn't be effected by that trade.
I projected Hummel to be out from the start. There just wasn't room if you wanted to have any space to sign someone upon injuries.
What's puzzling to me is that Bennett and Payne are both on the roster still, together.

Payne won't be going anywhere soon. Flip traded pick for him and to trade him this soon would be to admit failure. Not happening.
Bennet is staying for another reason. $ he will be traded as an expiring later in the season.

Not to mention that Payne is earning a further look!

Re: Is Robbie Hummel likely gone?
Payne is here for another year given that Flip has to justify his trade and frankly he does give effort on both sides of the ball and Flip values that, unfortunately, he plays very recklessly, lacks touch and court awareness. I would like him to play in the D-League.
Re: Is Robbie Hummel likely gone?
The trade probably helps the idea we could bring back Hummel at least some because Rudez is easier to cut financially and maybe as a player in general. I think he is just about as likely to get moved in a deal as Bud was since he is cheap and can shot.
