Karl picked number 32 over his college number 12, his high school number 44 and his Dominican team numbers 12, 15 and 19. I wondered why, but I did see that his he wore 32 for his AAU team (Sports U) and wore it at the McDonald's game and the JEM Classic.

The guy is awesome on and off the court...he could run for mayor and win. It's gonna be really easy to cheer for this guy!

This is really jumping the gun, but I see similarities developing already between Towns-Okafor and Peyton Manning-Ryan Leaf. Someone should point that out to Okafor as an example of how things that once seemed so right, can go so wrong.

A few highlights from the Dominican vs USA game:
Karl catches Anthony Davis on a breakaway and strips the ball (.33 mark)
Karl nails a three pointer with AD closing in on him (1:06 mark)
Karl makes a no look pass to his teammate who drains a three (1:15 mark)

I think this video was in another thread, but its great to watch: https://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=UTF-8&fr=crmas&p=karl+towns+dribbling
We know his block range will be one of the best in the league, but this video compares his dribbling speed to James Harden. Maybe if Ricky goes down, Karl can play point center.

Karl Towns says his son fits better in Minnesota than Los Angeles
Karl Towns told Andy Greder of www.twincities.com that his son, No. 1 NBA draft pick Karl-Anthony Towns, has enrolled in kinesiology and business classes at Kentucky to continue working toward his degree.
"We've always told our kids that education was always going to be the goal," Karl Towns said to Greder while noting his son may possibly become a doctor. "Whatever you achieve in life, education will be our priority."
He also told the writer how much he wanted his son in Minnesota, and not Los Angeles.
"No disrespect to the Lakers, they are a class act, but I think where we ended up is where we were destined to be. We have a young group of talent, and the Timberwolves are building. I think in two or three years, we will be the Golden State of the NBA," Karl Towns Sr. said.
This is great to hear and last year Wiggins said he preferred Minnesota over playing with LeBron in Cleveland. With Sota loving KG in the fold, I can't wait for us to become a preferred destination for free agents. :)

I saw somewhere that 32 was his dad's number and the reason he didn't wear it at UK is b/c a Sr already had it.

Thanks, Grey. That makes sense.
I saw a news item about the Bjelica negotiation and it mentioned that both first rounders were signed. I expected no drama there, but glad the contract signings are out of the way.

Excellent, he already has the long-2 figured out! He should fit perfectly in Flip's offense.
