For the life of me I didn't understand why he wasn't a top 15 pick. I don't know how a guy like Lyles gets picked ahead of him. Now Portis could bust and Lyles could be a star, I just don't understand what I'm missing.

Also how did Towns look? I like he got more rebounds in this one. I don't like the offensive numbers too much, but numbers can be deceiving.

I liked Lyles but Portis seemed like a pretty nice player with a low floor. I have no idea what Lyles will be. Portis seems to have a really strong base and has talent plus plays with a bigtime edge.

Towns was a mixed bag. His passing continues to be really impressive. He needs to get stronger and improve his technique as a post defender but I don't think that's a surprise to anyone and I think he will improve. Teams have been double and triple teaming him so at times. His jumper seems pretty legit and that Hook is too. He shows such a variety of skills it's pretty exciting even though it will take a while to get there. He has been about what I expected except maybe a little worse as a man defender while being an even better passer.

I just thought having Portis and Towns together would have been perfect. I think Portis brought the edge Towns has not shown and Towns has the talent Portis doesn't have. I think they would have helped each other and been able to form a great front court in the future. I wonder if we wouldn't have traded for Payne if we would have targeted him.
