Agree. It will be interesting to watch, not necessarily as purely a Tyus vs. LoBrow competition, but more like LoBrow against every other available option to us to fill out the roster. We may opt in on him if he can really perform well (and sadly, that may be the final nail in Robbie's career with the Wolves).

There is nothing wrong with having three competent PGs and for Brown to push Tyus a bit for minutes (although I agree with Cool, Flip will favor hometown favorite Tyus, even if unearned).

If things go well Tyus Jones will earn the 2nd spot over LoBrow. The question then will be if we carry a 3rd PG who do we keep LoBrow or a find a vet. I would lean towards a good locker room vet that can still play a little.

I am really excited to see LaVIne and Towns playing together. They both have the personality to be the face of a franchise and a marketing persons dream. I think we will all be glad LaVine took his lumps at PG last year because it will make him a better SG this year.

As for Hummel. If they decide not to extend AB I would cut him and bring back Hummel. I think he is the type of locker room bench guy the team needs. It doesn't do our young core any good to play with someone making a lot of mistakes (even in practice) and that is not going to be in our plans. (looking at you AB and Payne)

My evaluation of Summer league will depend on how many minutes they are willing to give to guys like Towns and LaVine. Both will be very valuable to us this season in starting or 6-8th man roles, and limiting minutes to prevent injuries could come into play. Guys like Jones and Brown could end up seeing the court in SL a lot more since they are slotted as no better than a backup at this point.

We might not get a chance to see if LaVine or Towns can dominate, but hopefully if they are playing limited time they show competency and glimpses of dominating lesser talents.

I don't think they will limit per game minutes for LaVine and Towns, but they might limit the actual number of games they play. I could see both being capped at three games, but we'll see...

I agree that Brown and Jones will get longer looks.

That's a good point about less games. We might see rhythm issues that lead to inconsistency in the chaos that is Summer league, but hopefully we get to revel in some positivity that carries over into the season for once.

I don't want to speak for phenom, but I believe he is talking about the way we react to Summer League and pre-season. If a player does well, we have a tendency to discount it by saying "It's just (SL or pre-season). But if he plays poorly (like Adreian Payne last Wednesday), we tend to wring our hands and say the sky is falling. It's a "can't win" situation in many ways. To be sure, both of these thoughts have some merit, but there are things we can learn before the season starts...good and bad. Just need to take it with a grain of salt.
