Klay has been made available

Post by alexftbl8181 [enjin:6648741] »

Marc Stein ?@ESPNSteinLine 26m
ESPN sources say Golden State has indeed made Klay Thompson available to Wolves, greatly increasingly Warriors' hopes of getting Kevin Love

not super surprising news, but it's the best deal out there

Klay/Barnes/Lee 1st

Love/Martin

Pull the trigger

I just hope we don't give up our 13. Rumor was the Warriors were working out some players in that range.

A Rubio/Klay/Barnes/Lee/Pek lineup probably isn't a playoff team. If you get a full season of Pek and Bud there's an outside chance. Wolves would still need a backup PG and another 2 solid bench players to potentially make some noise

Exactly. But we always do things that don't make sense:

Interesting, per @chadfordinsider, Warriors watched Stauskas, McDermott workout in Chi. They don't have 1st-rd pick, but Wolves have 13th

I think people need to get it out of their heads that Stauskas will be there at 13.

I'll be extremely unhappy if we give up our 13th pick as part of a deal for Thompson, Barnes and Lee. If it's just Love and Luc or Budinger then I like the deal a lot. If it's Love and Martin, I'm still ok with the deal. More importantly, this report should fuel the bidding war. The stakes have just been raised. Perhaps this plus Embiid's foot injury will prompt Cleveland to finally offer up their #1 pick along with Tristan Thompson, Waiters and possibly Varejao. If Cleveland puts that deal on the table, I'd grab it, even if we add Martin to the deal.

Agree. Waiters/Thompson/Wiggins is the deal I want.

Jeez, the offers seem to be getting better as we get closer to the draft. Now who said that would happen in the faces of Alex and LST? Oh yeah, it was me. Who also told you weeks ago that Love was going to get moved by draft day, and still most of you think he will play for the Wolves? Oh yeah, that was me too. Just sayin.........

I never think its a good idea to purge a roster that won 33 games in the east. We'd look a hell a lot like the Cavs except replace Irving with Rubio. ICK
