Yeah, crazy. Barea gets regular SG minutes, but people are concerned about Martin not being able to slide over the 3 once in a while? The fact is that traditional positions have gone away in the NBA. I saw lineups against the Wolves last season where there were no players over 6'9" on the court. This is common, and these "matchup" lineups are the norm now.

I agree with LST and others...Martin is in no way a throw-in player at $6.5M per. Regardless of deal made, the Wolves will still be over the cap and will need to replace Martin's scoring.....good luck finding a similar player for vet min.

As others have said Martin is pretty valuable. If we could have him off the benchlet him guard whatever pathetic bench wing teams put out there no matter what position they play. It likely won't be that big of a deal. Flip has already mentioned trying to manage Pek's minutes I bet he is also looking at keeping Martin's minutes lower as well which may help. If we trade Martin we better be getting something pretty good back in return. Its not everyday you can get even an injury liability SG that can score 16+ ppg in his sleep AND he is a really good shooter.

I LOVE Klay but my concern in getting him in a trade is will he stay here either. His Dad already said he would have. To talk him down off a ledge if this rumored trade went through. I thought they were smarter than to think the. Wolves would do any trade for Love without Klay but whatever I guess everybody lives in some sort of dream world. Lol I am actually really high on Klay and having him next to Rubio would be amazing but Idk if he is enough if Love is traded away in that package especially if you aren't sure he will be around when he is a RFA.

I have mixed feelings on Martin. I really wanted him last year, and was tickled pink when we got him. I really don't consider him overpaid. But...

While he was our 2nd leading scorer, he was not as efficient as I had hoped he would be. In training camp he commented on how tough it was keeping his body up for the grind of an NBA season. As expected he missed a few game due to injury. His defense was poor. And he often shied away from taking the big-time shots in crunch time. He did not give us the ball handling at SG that I would like to see. Overall he did not meet my expectations.

So now we have a glut of wings with most of them lacking in the area of ball handling. While I like almost all of our wings, we need to thin them out and add some ball-handling, and I can't say that I feel "attached" to any of them. I am anxious to see how Flip shuffles our wing deck...
