Yeah Lee is not over the hill by any means and can still be a productive player. Plus I don't think his contract is that terrible, because two seasons from now he may be very attractive as a big expiring contract.

Lee and Klay aren't bad return for Love, but the Wolves can do better (i.e. adding Barnes or Green, and/or a first round pick. And by no means should OUR first round pick be included).

There is still a lot of time before the draft for Golden State or another team to step up their offer. Not sure which team it will be, but I expect someone to go for broke. When it happens, that's the deal you make. All this other stuff surfacing in the media is smoke and mirrors, or complete fabrication. My guess is the real deal will happen quickly without warning.

How is Lee going to be a attractive as an expiring when Boozer's an expiring and nobody wants any part of that. Expiring contracts being valuable trade pieces are way overrated, in my opinion.

PS: Barnes is a bust. Green is an overachieving role player, but not a starter in the NBA. Whatever 1st round pick Golden State gives will be in the 20s as long as Curry and Love are playing together.

What if Curry suffers a severely sprained ankle and then Love breaks his hand? Might sound far fetched but it really isn't.

What if they all click as a team and win the NBA Finals. I can play "what if" too.

The Warriors haven't won the title in 40 years. Curry sprains his ankles every year and Love is one year removed from two broken hands. I'm just saying don't assume that pick will always be in the 20's.

Cleveland and Boston can take Love at any moment. All they have to do is pony up the offers.

MIN: Klay Thompson, Steve Nash, No. 7 overall, 2019 GS 1st

LAL: David Lee

GSW: Kevin Love, Chase Budinger

We get Thompson and hypothetically we get Randle at No. 7. Nash is an expiring, but if he could stay healthy he'd be really nice as a backup PG.

No way lakers would do that cam. Why would they want lee when they could just resign gasol to a 2 year deal that might worth less than what lee makes. They would also keep the 7th pick and nash could be used as trade chip or a rotation player for them. Makes zero sense for them.

Let's not turn a decent thread into one of those far fetched hypothetical trade ones.
