Love Visiting Boston This Weekend

To supposedly "check out the city". With that being the case I thought it was interesting to check out what Boston might have to offer in a potential trade. The trib reported this today:

o Picks Nos. 6 and 17, plus extra first-round picks from Philadelphia and the L.A. Clippers in 2015, from Brooklyn in 2016 and 2018 and the right to swap picks with the Nets in 2016.

o Third-year power forward Jared Sullinger, a poor man's Kevin Love of sorts, as well as veteran Jeff Green and restricted free-agent guard Avery Bradley.

How many of those 1st round picks do you think we could get? A lot of them could be very good lottery picks. Not to mention Boston's' own picks in those years.

The players don't really intrigue me, but the plethora of picks does. Judging by what is reported here, the Celtics have 10 first round picks over the next 5 drafts. I'd like to get at least 5 of those.

Quite positive the BRK ones are unprotected, which is why I'd want them. Someone can check that, though.

Looking it up it seems you're right that they are unprotected but man we have to wait multiple years for our first chance at a non lottery protected pic unless we snag a few of Bostons's as well

If we do trade him though this is easily our best option in my opinion I don't agree with trading stars for one lotto pick and a couple of decent players that will keep us competitive enough to miss out on top 5 picks ourselves.

I wonder if Boston could absorb Love's contract and just give us strictly picks?

Think we'd have to take Bogans (cut him) and Bass (expiring), plus I'd ask for Olynyk. Give me those three guys and a bunch of picks and I'm good.

really? 5 mid round picks, typically role players, more likely to bust then to be a star, that would take years to develop. What the hell is the point? To get a bunch of bench players?
