So tonight the Heat were getting their asses kicked again, which I have to say I was thoroughly enjoying, but then when the game was clearly out of hand, HE entered:
Michael Beasley, B-Easy, Skittles.
Mopping up in garbage time of the closeout game of the finals. And instantly, my enjoyment was gone.
One moment I was marveling in the beautiful basketball the Spurs were playing, and how their franchise simply can do no wrong. The next moment there was Beasley, and I was reminded I am a fan of a franchise that rarely does anything right.
KG leaves and wins a title. Traded Big Al for nothing. Jonny Flynn. Darko. Beasley. Wittman. Rambis. The Rubio "will he ever play here" saga. Wes Johnson. Derrick Williams. Kahn, the smartest dumbest guy in the room. K-Love, under contract for another year, basically forcing his way out. And since nobody else will take the job, we are back to Flip. Oh and until proven otherwise, Rubio still can't shoot.
I had season tickets the last 3 years. This year I did not renew. Didn't even consider it.
Basically it comes down to this: it's time for the Wolves to step out of this ten year mess and do something right for once. That means Flip and whoever else is involved should not sleep over the next ten days. They need to get the K-Love situation and the draft right. Because if this team takes another step in wrong direction I think I may have to step off myself.
Of course I tell myself that, but deep down I know I will continue to take all the punishment the Wolves can dish out. Supporting this team--will it ever B-Easy?
I saw Beasley tonight and had a moment

It was a little odd to see Beas out there. One thing I think is good about Flip is he is a true basketball guy and I don't think he is gonna have such ridiculous swing and misses as Kahn did trying to get something huge out of nothing with Darko Beas AR etc. The closest thing Flip did to that was take Shabazz in last draft but at that spot it was a pretty reasonable gamble. My point is I think Flip will at least be decent and will be more likely to bring in some actual basketball players to this team not just theoretical talent and also will pick guys that might actually work together. That might not be good enough but it will at least be alot less embarrassing.
