Bleed -- I agree that Flip will get the max out of the players he has. KG developed into a superstar under Flip. Marbury played better for Flip than for any head coach after him. Sam and Spree were well past their prime, but performed under Flip as if they were 5 years younger.

Think back to 2004. But for Sam Cassell's injury, the Wolves would have been in the NBA finals against Detroit. And keep in mind that the Wolves beat the Pistons twice during that regular season, so it's reasonable to conclude that the Wolves would have won the NBA title that year. And who did Flip have on the roster? He had one and only one bona fide star. Otherwise, it was Sam, Spree, Wally and a cast of other characters, including Troy Hudson. There's little doubt that Flip got the max out of that roster. Before that season, Flip took Wolves teams with very limited talent assembled around KG and consistently made the playoffs.

Was I hoping for Joerger, Hoiberg or Hollins? Yes. But in retrospect, Flip's track record says he's better than any of those guys as an NBA head coach who can generate wins and get the most out of his players.

Lip sticking up for Flip? I'm kind of surprised.

He is just being realistic. He can fix the team via coaching this year and step back next year when the job is more desirable.

Mitchell and Lowe are offically back baby! Blatt rules the Wolves out, because of course he did. Whose left in the country club that has yet to get an invite?

Any updates on David Blatt? He's leaving Maccabi Tel Aviv for some NBA job.
