Post game has never been good enough. Dominated PFs in college because he was bigger, more athletic than them. That doesn't work in the NBA and it didn't last year. I know he was only a rookie, but I really don't see him becoming a good starter in this league.
I don't know, cam...he's 6-8, 260, and strong. I don't see PF as out of the question for him.
If the Wolves don't think he can play PF, I wouldn't want him. I don't see him ever making it as a SF, and we already have too many.
If only size was all that was required... He's not a good defender at either position and his mentality on offense is to play like a SF, though he's not skilled enough to do that. Does this sound familiar? We just traded away a guy like this who I'd rather have over Bennett... D-Will.
Yeah, I was just thinking of that parallel. They are similar. I would say Bennett is more physical and Williams shoots better. I would have said Bennett had a better motor, but he didn't show that in his rookie year.

Long, where did you see that he was 6-8 (which is still undersized for a PF)?
I've never seen him measured more than 6-7 in shoes. He is likely real close to Barkley's height, but unfortunately doesn't have the motor or skillset that Charles possessed.

You may be right, sjm...I just took his measurements off the ESPN page, but they may be inflated. I know I was by 2-3" in my college program!
My biggest concern with Bennett is on defense. I just never saw a great deal of effort from him, and he just isn't offensively gifted enough to make up for it IMO.
I have similar concerns with Gary Harris this year. Not due to effort, but because he seems really small compared to others, and doesn't necessarily handle the ball or shoot well enough to make up for it. I think he will be a 9-10 guy in the NBA playing combo guard.
Draft Express has him listed at 6'7" based on camps measurements which isn't that tall even for a SF. Based on some game logs from last year it seemed he did have some positive moments. I only saw him play early in the year and he looked more pathetic than Derrick Williams ever did not even joking.
Gary Harris height is an issue but I'd overlook that if he has enough other skills to make me excited about him. If he is really a guy that can play D on PGs then that makes him more interesting next to Rubio who can probably D up on SGs at times which could make them a nice pair on that end. It seems like Harris is able to make solid passes which is important playing with a guy like Pek. He didn't get to the rim and really had poor shooting percentages for a guy that's supposed to be a shooter due to what DX shot selection. If he can be a guy who makes open jumpers makes nice passes to open players and gets up on guys on that wouldn't be too bad next to Rubio. I'm not sold on him but at #13 he seems like a solid get. If he can take good shots he could be really solid.
really? 5 mid round picks, typically role players, more likely to bust then to be a star, that would take years to develop. What the hell is the point? To get a bunch of bench players?
It sounds like Flip has told the Love camp they are talking to The C's and Ainge wants to be sure he can extend Love - thus the visit. I suppose this is better than no communication
