I think it's funny how some people on here claim to know exactly what Love wants. We were right to only offer him a 3 year deal with an option. I know I'm in the minority in saying this but only a few guys in the league should get these 5 year max guaranteed deals.

Poor Love, he didn't get what he wanted, they like Rubio more than me. Now I want a trade. I'm tired of these babies in the league.

Love goes slient and the media convinces people that he wants out for sure.

Love goes to Boston, media convinces fans that Love wants to go to Boston.

It's really funny how the media can control everything. Love could of went anywhere in America and the media would of spun it. Do people want him going to the Bahamas in June where its 100 degrees?

I mean sure the media blows all this stuff out of proportion but dont kid yourself that it was just a random trip there. Truth is he was never gonna spend the time KG did here and with this team. Is it annoying? yeah but that's the NBA for you, all you can do is hope you get lucky in the draft and build a winner fast and even then you're gonna have a hard time keeping your stars simply because you dont play in a big market.

That's silly, There's nothing in Philly. They're sports team stink, and it's pretty dirty as it is. Love can afford to go to where ever he wants. He's already been to cali, im sure he's gone to tropical places all the time. He said he's never been to Boston so when else would he go?

Also to say he was never going to spend the time KG did. Love would of gladly signed the 5 year max, meaning he wanted to be here at least 8 years

The Love situation was screwed up years ago with the contract opt out and horrible drafting history. It's obvious to me that the front office will realize that and decide to get what they can while the getting is good. It might not be the harvest we all want, but it will happen. It's really common sense at this point.

how exactly did Love alienate anyone?

I agree with your point alex, that the organization has made some mistakes that have made it difficult for Love to achieve his goal of contending for a championship or even making the playoffs. I also think, though, that as our star player, Kevin has to take some of the blame for our not reaching the playoffs during his time here.

I can't speak to how Kevin has alienated others, but I can speak to how he has alienated me from time to time. I think he is sloppy in how he speaks to the media, and his comments sometimes tend to throw teammates under the bus. I don't find that as a quality that builds the kind of team cohesion that leads to wins. Kevin seems to me to be the kind of guy who prefers assessing blame to others rather than taking it on himself. It's not what leaders do.

Having said that, if Love tweeted tomorrow that he is here for the long-term, I would welcome him back. His offensive and rebounding skills are so elite that I can overlook, to some extent, his deficiencies in defense and character.

If he said that, people would just call him a liar anyway

You're probably right. I think Kevin has lost a lot of credibility and respect with many Wolves' fans based on how he handled his Boston summer vacation. I guess I won't really welcome him back 100% until he signs a contract extension with us...and I quantify the chances of that happening just slightly higher than the chances of Cleveland giving us the first pick in the draft.

oh my god, he went to a bar and a baseball game. It's not like he put on a celtics jersey or shot some hoops at boston arena.
