We gave him 2 more years at more max level money because of a higher salary cap and him qualifying for 30% of said higher cap. Now he can save some face because he doesn't have to demand a trade which he would have if he signed a 5 year deal instead of a 3 year deal. I get he wanted the 5 years, but our front office gave him a gift of being able to opt out after 3 and choose what he wants to do versus having to force his way out a-la Melo and the OG D Will. He got the deal every max level guy in a bad situation should want in terms of maximizing how much money you can make while giving you the options that traditional RFA's would envy. We have the right to be frustrated, but Love doesn't because like Mitchell told KG, "You're the one making all the money."

They stay loyal to the city and play like men. Nowadays, star players want to play with each other instead of beating each other. But this is what the league is right now, it is what it is.
My take is if love wants out, then trade him. I love kevin love's game and is a big fan but if he dont want to be here, then I dont want him here either. He has never been much of a true leader and I dont think he can be one to be honest. There are teams like cavs and kings that wont mind if love resigns with them or not. I'l prefer sending love to those 2 teams than the teams he 'preferred' I still prefer cavs the most because of their number 1 pick.
Love is frustrated about wanting to win. He's frustrated that in the 6 years he's been with the team, management has made bad decision after bad decision.
Charles Barkley asked to be traded. Pretty sure he won MVP the year after. Also what would Bird and Jordan have to frustrated about? They had Mchale, Parish, Pippen, Rodman ect. That's a hell of a lot different then JJ, Darko, and Wes Johnson.

This would be a stronger argument if you weren't taking the top starters on one team against role guys on another. Jordan waited for Pippen to develop into the player he was, and Celtic trio worked because it was about the team winning. I would take Rubio over Parish or Rodman.
Love has been throwing his fellow players under the bus and whining to Wojojkdjfijewiofj about his team instead of getting back on defense. You can't build a team when you are constantly crying to the media about the other players on the floor. I am not sure how someone who is supposedly as smart as Love still can't figure that out.

Yea the Celtics worked because they won. They won because they had a shit ton of talent. Whats your point
I would take Rubio over Parish or Rodman.
Really??? Really????

Well the only ones he threw under the bus so to speak was JJ and Dante, two players who absoultly deserved to be thrown under the bus. He bitched to Wojo about management, not about the players.
Go back and read the Wojo article. There isn't one single point Love made that wasn't 100% right on the money. Nobody can argue what he said, because its the exact same stuff we on this board have been saying this whole time. Wolves management is the reason the wolves don't win, not Kevin Love.

Who was this shit ton of talent? You picked the best players from the Celtics and Bulls, and then left out the best players from the wolves.
And yes, Really!
I never hear Lebron (lately), TD, or Bird back in the day ripping their teammates in the press.
As usual, you completely missed the point again. It doesn't matter who Love is blaming for the state of the team. What matters is he is basically saying his supporting cast sucks, and that goes back to the players. Whether or not we agree with him has nothing to do with team chemistry.
Alex, your missing the point. By whining and asking to be traded while still under contract at his prime and making max money, love is being part of the problem and not part of the solution.
My point is in this era,we have guys like lebron who made the finals and conference finals and at his prime jumping ship to team up with other stars. Melo who wanted to play in a big market but not a better situation than his previous team. Howard, who demanded to be traded from a pretty good team to play in brooklyn(his preference) and ended up in la when he made the situation ugly enough that a trade is a must.
Love is 25. Still has a year left before he can opt out and could have played out his year and give it a go instead of putting the team in the current state. Players before competed againts each other. Yes, barkley asked yo be traded but he didnt asked to join jordan or drexler or dominique or ewing.

Im just not going to respond to the fact that you think the Celtics and bulls rosters are similar to the wolves today. I assume your just trolling at that point

You call it whinning, I call it harsh truth. Do you think the wolves were good enough around Love to make the PO? If not then wouldn't you be considering whining?

Did you read or watch any of the links you posted?
If you had, you would have noticed a recurring theme, WE! That is how leaders rally their teams. WE didn't defend, We played like a bunch of sissies, WE WE WE!
I never compared the rosters, but I did point out that you wanted to compare the top players on the Celtics and Bulls to the role players on Minny. Anytime anyone makes that type of skewed comparison, it usually means they know they don't really have a leg to stand on.

"We can't have two guys sitting at the end of the bench that play good minutes just sitting there and not getting up during timeouts," Love said, referring to the poor body language exhibited by veterans J.J. Barea and Dante Cunningham in the fourth quarter. "We all need to be in this together. That kind of pisses me off. We're supposed to be a team."
