I always assume everyone is about the same age as me or maybe 10 years younger. I realized a few weeks ago I am now usually the old guy of the group of guys I play pickup ball with. How did that happen?
Anyway this is a good group of folks and it's nice to have a couple new people added lately. I miss Chuck Dorn from the ESPN board and his pretty rational thoughts from a non-wolves fan perspective. He must be enjoying that GS Championship!

JDvikes was the founder of the site when the ESPN boards closed, he was here for while then disappeared taking all his administrative powers with him :( . It would be nice to have things like pinned threads and a moderator to help clean out all the multiple threads we have on the same topics. Oh well, I prefer the regulars here more than the RealGM posters even though they run a tighter ship over there.
I meant to post in this thread when it popped up a few weeks ago... then got busy and didn't.
Name is James. Located in Perth, Australia. Age 35, work as an Investment Adviser here. Coincidentally, the same birthday as Eitan (5 years apart).
The name Shumway comes from the 80s TV show ALF. ALFs name back on his home planet of Melmac was Gordon Shumway. We used to use that as an obscure alias whenever we ordered a pizza or booked a restaurant or anything many years ago.
Started following the Timberwolves in about 1991 when our local basketball team had a guy from Minnesota play for them. So I became the only kid in class trying to get the Tony Cambell and Pooh Richardson Hoops cards. Never jumped off the bandwagon from that time.
Saw KG at the Olympics in Sydney in a great quarter final game against Russia with a young Kirilenko leading the way for them. Also saw Australia get over France in another quarter final game.
I played for my state in the national championships as a junior, and played in the State League over here for a few years... but to be honest our drinking team had a basketball problem.
I visit the board regularly, but you guys are my main source of wisdom on the Wolves, so not too much I can add to things from a discussion viewpoint.

Shumway--

Same here. Great thread idea Rubio. My name is Greg. Live in Bloomington, went to College of St. Thomas in the late seventies (I am about LST's age), work in insurance.
I honestly don't remember where the name Papalrep came from, I've been posting since the ESPN days. I am not a priest. I drop the F Bomb WAY too much. I think I was thinking all those years ago I will pretend to be a Vatican representative on the TWolves message board. Kind of dumb, I'm to lazy to change the name, although I do use FR. Guido's pic from SNL now.
MOST EMBARASSING POST EVER:
I watched the pups loose last season on TV, Wiggs was not a factor. After the game, Kevin Lynch went on about Wiggins being too passive. I was in a pissy mood, and on a whim posted "Wiggins is a huge dissapointment". Advice would be don't post in a pissy mood, it will come back and bite you.

Too late to retract the post, Carlos?
LOL! It's all good Papal. To be honest, I didn't even remember you as part of that thread. It's going to take a huge chunk out of my posting arsenal, but....I won't bring it up anymore :-)

Did Shane Heal help or hurt your affinity for the Timberwolves?
