OTOH, Shabazz looked pretty bad in last year's summer league (IIRC), jacking up shots and missing most of them while averaging a half-assist (!) per game.

It's just a tough environment to assess things, but it's fun to track, watch, and speculate nonetheless. By all means it's far more encouraging to see "your guy" playing well versus not.

I can't see that happening, but it wouldn't be a great sign if it did. If I remember right, didn't both Wes and Derrick suck in summer league?

I am not sure about Derrick, but I am pretty sure Wes would still suck in SL.

Haha, and I'm pretty sure about Derrick struggling. I kept thinking the next game would be his breakout. But it didn't happen.

If Stanley can finish at the rim in the NBA he'll be a good player. He has the body and the effort on the defensive end. I always thought Winslow was the better prospect because it wasn't even close who was the better finisher at the rim in college (Winslow) and everything else was pretty equal. You pretty much either need a jumper or the ability to finish at the rim to have any scoring viability in the pros and Johnson wasn't looking great in either of those categories leading into the draft while Winslow could finish at the rim.

Just in case anyone still cares about D-Will, he will be going the broadcast during the 3rd quarter of the Spurs-Knicks game happening right now. He is currently chatting it up with Phil Jackson on the sidelines.

Per RW, "Glenn Robinson III secured the game-winning rebound during Sunday's Summer League win over the Warriors, scoring 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting to go with one 3-pointer, one assist, three rebounds, two steals, two blocks and three turnovers over 19 minutes of action."
