Wolves Training and Medical Staff

Post by Q12543 [enjin:6621299] »

These people should be summarily fired and replaced with garden gnomes, because I honestly think the gnomes would do a better job. Seriously, have you ever seen a situation where so many guys get hurt and the recovery takes longer than expected every single time!?

Let's start with Rubio. He took at least a month longer than originally expected. Then you have Shabazz's initial oblique strain which was going to sideline him for a week or two and ended up being closer to three weeks. Now he's out for the year due to a finger injury. Larry Bird would have taped the bad finger to another one and just played on. Then you have Hummel. What happened to him? Did his entire hand get severed and have to be sewed back onto his body? I need my Robbie fix! Bennett - has a tweaked ankle and has fallen off the face of the earth. And let's not even talk about Pek's chronic issues. He'll be in a wheelchair by next season at the rate he's going.

At some point, these injuries - not just this year but in years' past with other players as well - can't all just be bad luck. Something is amiss with the entire medical/training operation.

End of rant.

Very good point. I would have hoped the alliance with Mayo Sports Medicine would have gotten them more specialists in this area, but it has not paid off yet.

You think that's bad? Just wait until Wiggins tears his ACL in the last week of the season

That's just cruel to say. If that happens, you will be hunted down and made to pay for this.

Couldn't agree more.

But I think it's more to do with management instead of the expertise of our medical and training staff.

In a lost season you shut down any player with an injury for as long as required.

More ping pong balls..........

Q, I've been saying this the last 2 years, our trainers are a joke! How do they still have jobs again?

There is a stunning lack of accountability in the Wolves organization.

There's either some fishy shit going on or they just straight up aren't being truthful about some of these injuries. Why is AB not back yet? There's hasn't been so much as a peep at an expected return date since the original 2 weeks that has passed. He's 21. It doesn't take this long to recover from a simple contusion/ankle sprain injury. Bazz went from fine enough to play in the rising stars game to done for the year in the blink of an eye. What's up with Robbie? Why hasn't Pek been advised to slim down more every off season when his ankles clearly can't handle his weight and he constantly looks poorly conditioned. Why doesn't Flip have better answers? Something just doesn't add up to me. We've been playing basically 1 SF and 1 PF with their backups in suits and not a very well explained reason why in my mind (at least for Robbie and AB).

It;s not stunning anymore. I'll be stunned when they do things that make sense.
