Flip's Mistakes
Re: Flip's Mistakes
Lip, you miss 1 glaring mistake by flip. That is trading the 26th pick in the 2013 draft away for cash! Gobert was picked 27th, 1 pick after we sold the pick. I hated that move back then and do now. Trading a first pick away for cash is throwing away a valuable asset.

So.....with 14 points, 18 boards, and 3 blocks AT HALFTIME, maybe its time we re-visit all of our opinions on Dieng vs. Gobert (myself included)....haha

World you are so right, and it's not the only time we've done it obviously. It's a wonder us diehards sill care about this franchise after those shenanigans.

Jazz have like the best defense by a good margin since Gobert went into the lineup. But hey, mid to late round picks are almost never impact players so who cares right?

Selling that pick was so bad. I will admit that I thought Gobert would be a bust, but selling a pick just screams cheap to me.

Maybe it's just me, but the Hamilton pickup is just proving how poor the trade for Payne was. We paid maximum value for that guy and in my opinion Hamilton's been so much better even in lesser PT. BBIQ is leaps and bounds ahead of Payne and he's arguably more skilled. Did you see his left push hook the other night? Looked smooth. The kicker here is that we got Hamilton for nothing and traded away a 1st for Payne. And they're the same age. UGH.

Im falling into this thinking myself. Hamilton has been a surprise. He is what hummel is but is 6'11-7ft. He wont make mistakes and has good iq and play hard and smart and within himself. Payne may yet turn out to be a better player than who that pick turn out to be but as a future trade asset, that pick is more valuable than payne would be in the next 2-3 years.

I agree with both of you. I also agree with World on selling then #27 pick. I remember complaining about that move at the time. Classic Wolves organization move.

Re: Flip's Mistakes
Thad's good play combined with KG's inability to play in half the games with us so far has made that trade look like a landslide loss for us.
